Me and my friend both have Voodo3 cards yet I get Invaild floating point message and he sees the lights fine. I think i have the latest driver although im not 100% sure (like 99%). Anyone know whats wrong??

Cloud, I have a voodo 5, I can't see lights and I have latest drvier for it. The reason being that 3dfx cards don't support "window games" as stefan told me. I don't know exactly what that means, and if you have a invalid floating point error, check don't use direct x 7 under options in graal.

Yes I get that but ummmm other "windows games" work fine for me.....Plus voodo 3 cards have worked before err?
Stefan even made a post awhile ago that voodo3 cards work fine if you get the right (latest) drvier

This is what happened for me, I took off the dont use direct X check and went back into graal with my voodoo3 card and it worked fine then. The next day I couldnt do nothing it wouldnt connect to servers and I couldnt edit levels or anything. I put the check back on and everything worked fine again. I have the latest drivers.

Windows games as in games in a window, try playing fullscreen.

yes i know it works with fullscreen i believe but i cant switch to full screen mode before the game loads!

I need to get a new 3d accelerator... and, from what I've heard, I've decided it's not going to be a Voodoo.

Sheesh I went through all the trouble of making it work and now I come to the conclusion of it suckin big arse! I mean it makes graal run so slow!

That's what I've decided on for the next computer I'm building. It should go well with the 1.2ghz Athlon Thunderbird, 256MB of RAM, and the other things I'm planning to use.

Sorry about the revival of this slightly old topic, but mainly most voodoo cards don't work with Graal because they don't have good support for Direct3D, at least I think it was that ;)

hehe i got a Althon T-Bird 1.2 ghz and voodoo5 all i need is a good soundcard (I like voodoo products)

For me, it makes my whole system go slow.

I can't alt+tab out of fullscreen mode either. If a window pops up, Graal minimizes, but when I try to get it back, it closes itself. Bah.

seteffects (night/day) work fine in fullscreen, but setcoloreffects with any graphic make the graphic look really glitchy. If that can be fixed in fullscreen mode without having it slow the system down, it'll be perfect for me. But I'll live with it as it is for now :)

Download it, http://www.microsoft.com and search for Direct X 8

and if i use direct x 8 then i will see all the lamps glowing?
