PaintShop VS PhotoShop
 

ok i just got photoshop 5 from my cousin and its exactly like PaintShop theres no differnces. AHHHHHHHH my hopes are gone...

yeah but i mostly do it in microsoft paint then for coloring and effects i use PSP 7.

oh well all i got is ms paint and like 30 day trials :(

There's a lot of differnce between the two; for example photoshop is better then PSP, also photoshop has the best filters :).

If you use MS Paint a lot, then get Neopaint from somewhere... It's a lot better and it can save in like 20 different formats, and do animated gifs, plus all the cropping and stuff you need to do with editing things.. very good program, although not as good as Photoshop...

Fundamentally they're the same things. I know PS has better filters but PSP has more. I know there are little differnces but nothing that major. Also i probably wont get NeoPaint if it doesnt come with a PC because regular paint is fine pluss PSP7 came with AnimationShop3

ha i got 30 day trial psp and i have a co-owner that makes his onw crack and i just sent about 8 cd's out to mah staff b/c i fetl sry they still in ms paint lmao

Just use paint shop pro! It's far cheaper than Photoshop, and if you are just going to do graal style graphics (sprites) it is MORE than you need ^_^

I don't think anyone should use mspaint for sprites... it's doesn't have some of the nice features you may want to use.

yeah but all the programs you can get free so id rather have the best. Find someone with it and get them to send it to you.

its probably expensive for you because it was imported or something, try buying it off their website it might be cheaper depending on shipping fees
