First try at making tiles...
 

Alright here is my first try at making a tileset.. its supposed to be a futuristic space type tileset.. I know it needs work, I need to add more detail and change the style more so it isn't so graalish.. but what does everyone think.. give me some hints/suggestions on how I can improve it please :)

Its looks kind of good, but still its very weird.

I like it.

i dont like the roof.. it doesnt change the house enough..

Since the tiles you are using seem to have basic angles, you should probley try to do the same with the house roof. That is, give it a pyrimid look if you can, but keep try to keep it the same house shape.

It gives me a black and white vibe.

Also imagine playing with yellow,red,or blue body colors it would look out of place. Unless you restrict the colors to darker ones.
But, nice tiles.

not that futuristic, it's kinda like stone, but it looks great for a first attempt. I'd go with a more customized look, like, make your own house design, not the graal

you should create a Black and White(not the game) server

Difficult, but it would work. You'd have to do some major scripting so that everything appears in grey scale: colors would be different shades and of course heads/swords/shields would be the hardest, unless of course you convert everything to greys... but that would take a long time.... hmmm.. maybe I should consult the gods of scripting (Er1c and Kyle0654, Kyle being the most powerfull :))

You're forgetting one Kaimetsu...

Dear god yes! You cannot forget the mighty Kaimetsu!! (Kaimetsu had nothing to do with this post. *click* Uh... honestly. *sound of trigger being pulled back* I'm just... going... to go now...

And a few others too. Tyhm is quite good, and so is Lady Midnight. GodSpeed has some skillz too.

Anyway, to change stuff to grays you'd need to either create a whole load of new images to replace the old, or use seteffect. Backpals would unfortunately not work.

Hmm, but I don't think there's a way to make a black & white effect with seteffect.

seteffect and setcoloreffect work with RGBA values...you would have to create all new images that are in grayscale.

the house looks cool its very futuristicy, but more color would help, and might be good if the grass wasnt gray lol.

Also Tin Man this account im using to put up messages is shared by your superiors lol. Zen and Kaizer. (I'm Zen right now on this post) Somehow we both ended up as Head GATs on Babylon. I'd like to get your aim name sometime if you got one, i probably could ask lord helmut though.

im not a head GAT, i was hired because some ones PC got messed up who was a GAT. im just drawing some animals for the server and if they like it they'll make me a GAT or something.

Oh and i think you are hired already, cause i heard about you when i was talking to helmut after i got back online after a week or so and he said, 'oh yah forgot to tell you hes our new gat' when i asked who he was talking about. The original Nostalgia/Old Graal was in black and white, or rather, grayscales.

It got boring quick.
