Quick question about hosted rules...

Hey,

I was on Graal Legacy. I am/was PR Admin. Okay, the GP Admin, Midnight Chill, thinks he can take my Tag. But anyway, He says GL would be effed over if a global came on and Saw the guilds: GP, PR and FAQ in the staff list.

He thinks it's illegal to have PR when there is already GP and FAQ.

Can some of you clear this up with him that it's perfectly fine to actually have PR even though you have GP and FAQ.

I don't think the globals would really mind as long as there are not a lot of high level RCs.

However, on most servers with PRs, PRs take the place of both FAQs and GPs. It wouldn't make a lot of sense to have PRs AND have FAQs/GPs. It should be up to the management of the server to choose what staff positions are available, and not a GP Chief. Talk to the management about it and let them decide.

I'm doubting it will, although I don't personally have an opinion of it's quality since I have never played it. But there was no need to outright insult it like that.

Stop making threads about mid chill, he is no longer staff and none of this aplys now.

It really doesn't matter on a hosted server... If you have enough staff for all three of those departments, then your staff to player ratio is very bad.

I see no purpose in PR along with GP and FAQ.

There is no "purpose" for it either, it's just a silly excuse for server management to hire more staff.

I concur to both of these statements.

Having dedicated staff for PR is actually not a bad idea, they could frequently announce news on the wiki, getting new staff interested in the server etc. If it's only for PR to players however then it would be the same as FAQ and doesn't require dedicated staff.

Yeah, in this context, PRs should be the ones that act as the gateway from players to staff and vise-versa.
