Its Saturday and only 9 people (includes RC) on classic. Man DC i thought this card game was supposed to raise our count. When i told you it would do no such thing, you wouldn't have it because you are biased towards me.


WHY IS WHAT YOU PROMISED NOT HAPPENING?!!!

Quick people, lets say it again, what we need for an increased player count?

A complete reset of Classic.
Rebuilding a new OW, pretty small.
Automated Events Hosting, KoTH, CTF, Spar etc. (Maybe including Time-Attacks for Quests)

Card game came out, which in return kept people playing cards, which in return kept our event participation low, which in return made our GC's pessimistic, which in return made the hosting rate less. And when people learned that the card game is flawed big time, they left.

-Fix card game then reset it
-Reset tickets after making about a dozen new gc prizes
-Adding 3-4 new quests
-Making each town useful
-Using 1 good HD
-Making guilds important again
-Having the dev team release stuff weekly/every two weeks
-Hire 2-3 more GCs

So IF some of these things happen, the playercount will rise, thus allowing GCs to host more often because we'll have more than 10 people online.

Now there is only 5 people on!! OMG

It's a morning. Do you honestly expect 20+ people to be on? lol

I think we had 2 people on Wednesday night.

It's just been a bad week for classic's playercount.

I've logged on several times this week where there were zero players online.

Ouch :(

Mystic stop fooling yourself and realize classic is dead because of bad decision making!

If you keep having false hope like this, server is never going anywhere. Certain people need to realize its time to stop fooling around with the silly card game ****, and get down to business and make classic a real server again.

But...ill assume its a question or whatever and say that i view UN has a real server, or Zone. They all have a basis to their server, and they keep up with it. They manage to keep their player count constant which is something classic has not been able to do in years. UN really has managed to stay the same throughout the years, and keep player count. So what do they do, that classic does not?

And i am not saying we do what they do, but maybe stem off of it, think about it, and figure something out. They are obviously better than classic...wonder why. BTW, UN does have pretty much an endless amount of things to do.
I still have not completed some stuff there. Not to mention the non stop events usually, and the increasingly large amount of ET prizes they have, not only in their own prize room, but all around they have things to buy with ET points.

To say the least, classic is boring, mediocre, the usual crap said. Not only does UN have all that, but their staff is well structured, and work together *stares at GC* You guys lost that bond, and you aren't even a real team anymore. Classic is falling to pieces and I think everyone just wants to do something different. Even with development, you may all say you have teamwork, but it certainly does not show. Really, its annoying to say, but i feel like Ranger is the only one controlling his team still, seems like everyone has has run wild.

Unholy Nation's playercount has been pretty low over the past week or so.

And yet, it is still better than us. Somehow they keep enough players on to be able to enjoy something on the server.

You come on to classic now and you can't enjoy anything really.

But hey, maybe graal itself is just dying.

Are they really players from Unholy Nation though? I thought that might have been the case the other day, but I often look at the playerlist and it just seems like Kingdom regulars and random Zodiac players.

You're probably right, I'm just assuming that's where they came from. There are quite a few from Zodiac.

you've said it in the past whenever playercount has hit rock bottom that playercount will rise again, and that it will fall again, and so on.
It happens, unfortunately, but does it mean that the server has literally gone backwards?

Part of the reason is probably down to the Card Game having flaws, it's no secret, just we haven't been able to take the steps towards dealing with them yet,
now this doesn't justify a low playercount at all, but the requirements for large playercount to be maintained in the long term can't happen over night, the server needs to start walking before it starts running.

Well DC has been MIA the past week (due to his exams apparently), so when he gets back who knows what will be rolling.

It's the same thing with Night. He has been inactive lately and look at the GC team.

I noticed how some of UN's players went to Zodiac. However, Era's playercount hasn't been going down recently. It usually hits 80-110 daily

Ehm imo there has been a decrease in all servers, but for the "weaker" servers it has hit even harder. Graal will probably have a good run for maybe a few years more? Then things will be hitting rock bottom if not good because I still love to idle on Classic.

Graal itself has been slowly dieing over the past few years. And classic's playercount has had its ups and downs over that time; anyone recall dec 08 through feb 09? Classic was a graveyard, and for the past 2-3 months it was getting better until this past week.

I wouldn't blame the recent fall on a single factor, though the card game flaws certainly didn't help.

Like i said mystic, they both released it, they should have made sure everything was perfect before going MIA. Exams or no exams. And i doubt anything will start rolling when he returns. Maybe all this talk from me will force him to but we'll see.

And at Thor,i feel like its going to stay down now, it just shows no hope. I can just remember when classic had a stable player count, well back in the day and all before it was called classic , even before GTA, server had everything, mostly quests. Fun then, no fun now, what happened?

it's midterm week for college students in America, including a finals few week after.

I agree Classic's in the dump but the +/-5 playercount isn't entirely Classic's fault.

Man , none of you are really that old. You all make college sound horrible, are you all stupid and thats why studies take up so much of your time?

When i took my finals in college and midterms, i studied, i played graal, then i took the 2-3 hour test and thats it.

You make it sound like finals are 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. People really need to stop using this **** as an excuse. If you are taking all that time to cram info into your head, than you are probably in trouble, and probably not a good student. PAY ATTENTION IN CLASS = LESS STUDYING.
Classic is dying because it sucks as a server.

And whats even worst now is that divisions are being integrated within eachother. You got GCs on Dev, FAQs on dev, but now its less from GC and less from FAQ because most of their time goes into Development.

I remember a time that that wasn't even allowed. I know night didn't allow it years ago. Nor did the FAQs admin, and im pretty sure neither did stryker. So now each division is operating at less than half. And dev has all the players, and still, not PRODUCING!

For the most part I agree... but I can't speak for the difficulty of other professors but I do it the same way you say, finals are like frivolous to me--but for some classes they might not be.

Depends what you are taking I guess. But i feel it goes the same for any class, Pay attention, study some and take those finals.

If you cram to much into your head, you forget a lot of it. School always came easy to me, I don't know, i never found it justified to use it as an excuse NOT to do anything else.

I mean DC let us know, what do you major in that these finals consume all of your time. Same with you midi since you mentioned it as well.

DC does chem. I'm not quite sure how his studies work out.

I am an illustration major. A lot of it requires me to be in the lab, run around all over California looking for subjects, or go to model pose workshops all day and night. I don't go home and sleep on the floor at school for most of the finals.

I am actually not doing finals right now (that was a few weeks ago) but I am working full time from 8am to 8pm where there's no internet connection. :/

Graal didn't faint. It definitely needs an IV though.

Oh that is cool, I work full time to, 2 30 pm to 10 30 pm every night plus overtime, so it usually adds up to just under 60 a week.
I did that along with school for a year, now I am not in school, but i did take tons of classes that ranged from business to mental disabilities studies.
So i managed all that and was able to be on and I didn't even have an obligation to be on.
And DC is just a pansy, he can't handle more than one thing at once so when tests come around he becomes a little girl and goes into hiding with his books because he doesn't know how to handle education. If you can remember, he does it every year, finals come around and he runs away. He told me what he takes, and I still didn't see a reason for him to neglect classic for as long as he did. That just says "hey, now there is a Dev Admin that doesn't give a **** about classic!" And to this he'll say "education over graal" Of course that is true, but again ill say, I don't give a **** about your real life, we are talking Graal here!

You all took a job to be on here, that you shouldn't neglect, otherwise you should just quit. Whats the point of having the tag if you aren't going to be on to work? And remember, I don't care about your other excuses, this is talking strictly about graal and the development team and such. Why take the job if you aren't going to give 100% for it?

Unless one of you are studying to be like a doctor, then don't ****in use school as an excuse, being in the medical field is something i see taking all up your time, literally, it does.

Ok lets put this in context.

DC is trying to edumacate himself in order to have a better shot at a well paying job that will hopefully sustain him for the rest of his life.

And yet you claim to not give a damn about his "excuses" when clearly graal is a short term thing for all of us (hopefully.) Now I know that people with busy schedules can still make time for graal, but perhaps DC has his priorities straight. Perhaps he is studying something difficult. I don't know. But DC doesn't need any more headaches from graal than he already has with his college stuff. Perhaps it was best for him to essentially put down graal for a week and completely focus on his studies. I know that when I play video games for a few hours before a class, I can't really focus during class b/c all I'm thinking about is that game. Would that be the case with DC? Idk. But really, just shut up and wait until he's done. Then he'll have no excuse to not focus on graal.
