Zone wars (dark side light side) planet back?
 

Well I remember that when I started playing there was the zone wars planet. The one that had no class just light or dark side. I liked it very much and I always wondered why was it removed. I would like it if it could be back and I'm pretty sure other players would enjoy it as well....

It was cool. Unbalanced, but I didn't care. It was just great fun. I'd like to see a return, it should replace CTF because NOBODY ever uses that planet.

CTF is fun, get rid of Iricia and replace it with Zone Wars.

Light Side always won unless no one was on there and the people on Dark Side knew how to use beam, which needs Soldier, and some aren't, therefore... bleh.

I guess we should fix up the levels a bit, as I don't find them very nice.
We could also balance the stuff and then perhaps put the map back up. I don't know what Stefan thinks about that though, I will talk to him.

Zone wars was great fun. I remember when Venom and I would do crazy stuff on the Dark Side...from coating the entire map with proximines to layering the entire platform with gasgrenades, we did it all. Zone Wars was splendid and I was sad to see it go.

Although Jaws lamed all his kills and experience off of it. Look at speeder kills sometime ;D

Maybe they could add some new weapons to help "balance" the levels some more and add a dungeon underneath? (To give it a new feel?)
Just get rid of CTF... If you need proof of why look at the warpers for it....

It needs to be released the way it originally was...not after Stefan added speeders, beams, and anything else.

Well I don't know how it was before the speeders because when I came in there were already there. Although I would always like to see new weapons added to zone... Even more if the one I made could get in...lol

I'm not going to comment about your gfx because I don't particulary like it or consider it "good enough" to be in zone but thats my opinion I don't want to talk about it here because this is the wrong place.
I was talking to some of the players who did play back then and the original one had no beam and no mechs/no speeders? Not too sure about anything else. I think that is about it.

zone wars was fun, if there was 1 on each team, the dark side won though lol, it just obbliterated the portal

The fun part was the fact that you had to destroy the "base" thingy which I really liked when there was alot of people attacking it and you had to defend it xD

Umm why don't ppl use the current planets they have instead of asking for another planet that would go unused. As it is now people only use Iricia and DM when there is an event.

Raven, I understand your point, but Zone Wars was used alot by normal players, there was not a great number like Iricia, but there was always someone on it. (Although this could vary now, since that was a long time ago.)

Actually Raven let me enlighten you. Zone wars was actually the 2nd most used planet and at nights was the most used planet while it was in game. It would not be unused for that purpose. Taking out one of the planets could help deal with the current "waste of space" and could allow for the populace to spread to other planets to allow for more close combat. :)
This planet was also very easy to use for new players because you did not need to select a class and appealed to a common theme.

Well umm why not remove a planet nobody is on? Maybe they won't remove CTF because a freakin medal is on this planet and noobs might whine cause they din't had time to get it... but koth is not used at all and there is no medal there...

KOTH is the best planet. You get easy exp when staff host if they ever host on it. Its fun as hell.

Hey if this planet would be that popular then indeed add it Dan. I would actually like to see if it would still be as popular now as it was then. Also wouldn't mind trying it out.

That makes the medal all the rarer, just like people can't get the Carrot Medal because they didn't get the Carrot at Easter, or they don't USD to get a chainsaw for the Chainsaw Medal.

That'd be bull**** if I couldn't get a medal because some people were crying that they want an old planet back.

Well, maybe they can get rid of that medal and make a new one to replace it.

KoTH is used for events still, if im right. Its actually quite fun. Just no one will play it.

Then it wouldn't be fair to the people that got the medal.

I think it would considering half of them got it by going there when no one else was playing, get just getting the flag.

Plus, it wasn't something very difficult to accomplish, so the medal doesn't amount to much. I think few it any would complain.

I think its rather difficult to get a medal when you lag when there's more then one person on the map and its still terrible when you're alone.

But medal don't give anything it's just like collectible cards for a game/show, you just wanna get em to show off the rare ones 'cept there aint any rare medals but maybe carrot medal or chainsaw... If they gave bonuses then I could understand why everyone wants em but...

That's why I would want a medal to collect them. x.x

I think they plan on bringing this back, so this thread can be changed to either what way you want the planet to come back as, or something else.
