RP Events
 

I am posting this so ppl can sign a petition to allow Sam to let me do RP Events again.

Sam if you noticed in that other topic. Everyone who complained was of high level and had power stuff. Most of those ppl actually asked me to get certain items for RP Events. I am not asking you to supply items. I can get items from ppl if they want a RP Event. I just don't think its fair you listen to people who only want power items. I had 3 people complain about those havoks +12 because they weren't ac havoks or something like that.

Its bad. They are power hungry. I just want to have fun with people and do RP Events. And they aren't "big" as you put it. No where close to it. It takes 1 hour to do. That isn't big. I bet you the kingdom events take longer.

So please people voice your opinion on here. And to you ppl who i know will be like "no they suck" and stuff like that. keep in mind i know your saying it because I don't have the items you want. Well too bad. i have to make due with what I have.

Everyone is welcome to donate a item for a RP Event.

I will sign the petition. I like the RP events, even when i dont win anything. They are fun, and give people incentive to learn how to RP

Yeah thats true there but the ppl who complained stated that my rp events sucked and that stuff was wrong and stuff like that so sam said he was stopping them. These people are the people who cause me problems when i try to do a rp session. I am just sick of it.

I love you RP events. I do them even if they have rubbish prizes. Most the people only turned up for the rare items.
The same people who asked for rare inactive items to be added to game again are the people that are complaining about your events just because they didn't win the prize themself.

Roleplaying is an activity... not a contest. Prizes should consist of something for all participants. One event coin to each participant is ideal.

If people want rare items so badly, why don't you make it so event coins can be traded in for rare materials to make rare items on anvils hidden throughout GK?

The RP events were bad, keep them away.

I'm anti-signing for the reasons I said in my post requesting that a stop be put to these RP events. I have no problem with events where people RP or events where people have, the problem I have is with events where the winner is determined based entirely on how much a person grandstands.

Honestly, I think items with high stats should all be made craftable through rarely dropped materials. Then, you can make all event prizes "style" items to tweak how you look. Example: Plate mail of power is craftable without having to win any events. But it's got that ugly teal color. You win like two event coins and buy an armor restyle to change it to black.

And as you can see Sam..these people have never been in my rp events. actually they tend to disrupt them. You listen to them and not to the general populace. If I am not allowed to do RP events anymore I will quit being a EM because this is hogwash.

I already said that I would get players to contribute prizes and I wasn't joking. Bosh was going to contribute one today. No joking either. Thats how much he wanted one.

about 25 people i have talked too say that they want RP Events again and you aren't being fair. yet you listen to ppl like googi who has never taken part. I have never seen Damix in one of mine nor have I seen Ed...you listen to ppl like this but not to the people who actually enjoy these things.

I was in and won the horse event. And I was saying that the event was ridiculous even before I won.

As to the prizes...what am I to do? i can't give everyone a prize you know? I have limited stuff but if ppl will actually contribute then i could give everyone a prize.

You do notice I said RP EVENT and not HORSE EVENT

It was the horse RP event, not a horse race, I think you called it the "Cowboy Event".

Go home, RP events are for scrubs.

Host events like DIG UP THE BAG OR DIG UP THE BAG WITH PLAT.

Those events are original, and im sure everyone enjoys them!

I guess you mixed the EM, the cowboy event was hosted by Maroku, but I don't know if Raven did one too.

I do not like RP events, thery are the same thing every time. Its boring, Sam has said no to RP events for a good reason cant you just host one of the normal events? Yes, maybe some people like to do RP events and thats fine but you shouldnt get rare items like leaf shield and give them to the winner, as you cant really have a RP winner :o

off topic: new events team should be hired... Sam if your reading this my suggestion would be Fayt, he hosts alot of his own events and is good at it. (and before people say, no i was not told to say this, its my own opinion) :D

When im able to afford to do so, i would donate prizes. I cant afford now though.
The people who complain about the RP events are the people who cant RP, just show up and say some stuff, then expect to get amazing gear.
I do wish that EVERYONE who atleast made a decent effort to RP get a small prize, but the really good stuff goes to top RPers, because the way the RP events are going, if you grandstand enough so that other players dont get a chance = you win.
But, bring back the RP events! They were fun anyway!

yes, this is why people just say any stuff which is IC so it looks like they are good RPers when they actually are not. also i dont like it when EMs host rp events cause it always strangely seems that thier buddies get the good items :\

Well hows this. I start giving prizes to everyone for participation but a extra one to a good rper. would that make everyone happy?

Hampy I have never seen you in a rp event of mine so please stop posting. i would actually like people who have been in them or have a problem with prizes post.

I dont have a problem if you want to host an RP event. But for the moment I don't want that EM's give out any reward for RP events.

It was like that them Klay won the Leaf Shield he only done IC and he says him self that he hates RP

Hampy, shove it. You cant RP, youve never been in an RP event, and therefore cannot know how fun it is for everyone.

I would like it if everyone got a prize but the best RPer gets best prize, because of the whole grandstanding thing.

You don't understand, so long as everyone fulfills a few basic requirements, nobody is a better RPer than anybody else. Grandstanding is the only way to make a distinction between players in terms of RP "quality". That's why any event that awards prizes based on RP quality has no choice but to reward grandstanding.

Googi then how about I just give everyone a participation prize and end it at that?
