This thread will tell you everything that is wrong with Zone and in some cases, how it can be fixed.

Event Weapons
Too many, there are just too damn many! Events are a quick solution that should only be used when development is running a little slow. But, by God, people who I have never seen (And I've been with the community for a long time, so I know mostly everyone :\) have event weapons! It's disgusting really... The main developer (Stefan) is too busy with other things that he has no time for Zone! Geez, create something else to fill content for *Thinks of rules* pete's(?) sake!

I suggest there is a new method for handing out weapons, the pistols need to be decreased in power DRAMATICALLY! Then there needs to be a new and fresh way for events to work. Reapers, they need to be powered up. They are event weapons, yet they are slower than a plasmasabre and weaker than a plasmasabre, they can shoot bullets which go about 2cm and that's it...

Lazyness
I've said it once, and I'll say it again, "The Staff are getting Lazy on playable projects". Stefan only has time to fix a few bugs here and there, so when he has to do a proper project... it all goes horribly wrong. I'm not afraid to state the weak points of Stefan, as I'm sure he won't go "OMG U R FIRED" like other people I know would, if they were in charge of me... (Gosh, that sounds kiss-arse *Shudders*) This goes for Vulcan too, I mean, look at Gwars. That's enough proof of lazyness right there!

If I was making Gwars, I would have had 2 buildings, left and right. Inside those buildings there would be little rooms with a window out the side, where mortar shells could be fired upon enemy approach. Then I would of thought more about the classes, but I digress. Back to the main point.

Please, in your next work, put in a little more effort. You guys are running around like headless chickens [/Exaggduration], you took away the most popular planet (Alpha) and replaced it with a mediocre built spar dropship. :redface:

Inactivity
Vulcan's on enough, but Stefan never even keeps the NPC server message updated. I quote the last message and what it says has been updated.

The last time it was updated was when guild wars was released...
Stefan, you need to give the players more indication on how the server is pushing forward!

Strange Acts of Staff (Typhoon -_-)
Staff need to be monitored more, including myself. Some ETs are doing stupid things such as taking part in their own events "2 GET FUN LIEK PLAYARS!!1!LOLOL". They need to realise that when they go on tag, they give up their player privaledges and become a staff member. Some aren't taking it seriously...

So please, please, please...take care of Zone! It's a great server, but at the moment it's potentional is weighed down by the above points... Don't let it waste away guys. :(

I agree with everything maybe they could make a calender and get stickers when they meet there goal but they need mroe updates i would be willing to help. Last time i pmed vulcan to see if he wanted any help he ignored me and trust em i sent that pnm 10 times in 5 days not once did he reply except the last day to say no

The effective thing to do would be to promote Vulcan or something so he can develop. That and events should be held less often. The release of event weapons should be secret as well.

Possibly have a temporary thing where you can exchange your event weapon for EXP/money. This way less people have event weapons and we can try to start fresh.

Agreed with all but this... I wouldn't say he isn't taking his job seriously, as I myself haven't seen ANY problems with taking part in your own events, not that I have. If its a fun event with no prizes I fail to see the problem. But instead of posting that we need to be watched, why not do this, "Typhoon, please don't take part in your own events, thats not aloud." Saying that may do wonders...

I have seen no rules stating that I can't. I don't see that it's a problem. I'm not exactly sure why you'd bring it up aside from a childish dislike of me.

My bad... But he does make many other strong points that I think need to be looked into. I think that new weapons need to be added. If we add new weapons, then we won't need to give out as many event weapons :)

For updates and new guns there are so many good gfx on zones forums its absurd it could e so great.

There are 'no' rules about it, it is pure common sense for an ET. Without rules, the events flop and ruin the "Fun" part in "Fun Events". If there is nobody to host, there will be teaming. Where the minority who cannot find partners will suffer for it. Going "LOLOL NU RULEZ!!1! LETZ FITE!1!!" is unprofessional and goes along with what I just stated.

If you want to take part in events, ask for another ET to take over. Don't leave the events unattended. You see your rights as a party gift, no, they're not. Use them properly, I've even had reports of you warping to Gwars, choosing gwarsscout and warping back to DM with a dartgun for use for your own sake.

You see yourself as a higher staff member than you really are, I recall you saying "I've hosted more events than you."

Oh, don't be so hypocritical with this "Childish dislike" to try and ruin my reputation. Especially when you stated this:

I do a lot for Zone, look at all the guides I have made, some took me about an hour at least, and for what? Nothing but the fact that I think it will help the Zone community. Started what? I made up the name in some thread about funny names, I made up Huwasux and everyone who hates me uses it against me, when I haven't done anything to them.

I'm doing CTF, which at the moment is going smoothly, I've released some screenshots and people are liking how it is going. Vulcan said they look nice aswell, what do you do for Zone? Nothing besides sitting at your desk hitting keys back and forth to walk around checking events and globalling the odd message when needed.

I don't want to make myself sound too godlike, otherwise you might have another bicker at me. But, in some ways I know you better than you know yourself. I see through you so easily in some cases.

401 hours on Zone. 501 hours on Era.

I've seen 19 updates for Era, 2 for Zone. Zone is what I pay gold for. It's pathetic.

I quit Zone shortly after the GW release. I've inputted over 4 pages worth of ideas. One has been considered.

The server's a ruin. It's no fun anymore, it doesnt deserve to be gold.

Unfortunately that's true. 'Cept I can't help but love to say I'm one of the best on a gold server. :)

But when did you start Zone?

Updates don't always mean everything.

Some are extreme, some are good. Quiting is for pansies.

It's fun for me.

Updates mean a hell of alot. It's boring doing the same thing over and over again.

yah i really think more updates are needed i have played to see snowmen and cookies added little slays behiind cars then the letting of gwars to be released and the photon cannon almost being releasaed as we were told.

Ok Typhoon, go now, make a 9x9 gmap (I think it was that, or either 7x7) not including the insides (About 11 inside levels, all huge) and placing NPCs, and then new event modes, then gani Sayian's new weapon he made, then try to find Stefan to show him the map, then go online and everyone goes on the opposite team and attacks you because they are afraid... *Inhales*

It's a professional game, fool. It's ok to have a good laugh sometimes, but when you have to do your job properly you don't muck around on an official licensed game.

Ok im bringing this thread back up regarding the reapers comment. I think they should be made overpowered like 10 more damage than plasmasabre. This morning jkool was attacking me with his while i attacked him with a combat knife. He hit me like 5 times and i hit him 3 times with my combat knife thrown. I think it was pretty sad because hes way better why should the crappy weapon kill him when he has an event weapon?

No just make the bullets do more damage the melee is fine

The melee is terribly weak. It should be inbetween plasmasabre and muramasa, as should the speed.
