Another Admin?

Well, I think we need at least one more Admin. I know we already have many, but there are reasons why the current ones can't help as much as needed.

Unixmad/Stefan: Obvious reasons; Graal Developement, etc...
Tyhm: Quit -no longer admin?
Robert: Not as active as an admin that is just dedicated to the forums would be, and rightfully so, seeing as he deals with webpage issues.
Galen: Not as active as said before, and doesn't even have the powers. :frown:

I would say the obvious choices would be Spark or Kamuii, with my vote going to Kamuii simply because he could dedicate his time just to the forums....

matt8891 07-16-2004 03:45 PM

I'd have to say Spark, or Lance.

Brad 07-16-2004 03:47 PM

Look I am going to be a real forum person for a second and not give a dumb answer.

Make Kamuiii a ****ing administrator.

Spark in no way deserves it and I don't think Lance has been around long enough.

Now that i think of it..Spark doesnt deserve it i guess...He's a great PWA and account Admin and all but...Thats it...Also giving him admin position while him keeping his other two would be suicide for himself...

Spark910 07-16-2004 03:53 PM

Why do we need an admin?
Super-mods can:
-Unban
-Ban
-Moderate

Which is the reason why any admins are in-office, or Galen as an exception due to his time with Graal. There is not really any purpose for an 'Admin'.

I took admin as super-mod. I didn't know the difference. I think Kamuii should be one. :)

Wow, fooled me? Is there a reason why some people are un-banned days, sometimes weeks after they are due to become un-banned?

What about things such as adding mods? Cleaning up forums?

Which is something you have been talking about for quite some time, but will only get to it when you....have time.

Brad 07-16-2004 04:00 PM

spark go on graal kingdoms ;[

Reason why you were not unbanned; The backup was restored, thus messing with the self-unban thing? And we can unban normal none self-unban accounts, we just didn't look as you were the only person banned at the time, and it was supposed to self-unban...

Adding mods? Because that's a daily routine?

And what @ final comment

Oh right, well I am ICQing with robert now, and got some changes, playerworlds are next in the conversation. And don't blame me saying it's only done when I have time, it's done when others have time too.

Maybe if someone who had time could be added? OSNAP, that is what this topic is about. About the other thing, that is good... ^^

Once these changes are made there wont be need for any changes for a while, and all these changes arent urgent, so it's okay to wait x_x

Well, i think that Kamuii could be in the super moderators-team. He is always active on forums and got some constructive ideas.

WanDaMan 07-16-2004 04:20 PM

Hasn't Kamuii already given everybody proof that he wouldn't be up for the job? He would stlil be a super moderator if he could handle the job.

Darlene159 07-16-2004 04:46 PM

Another Admin is not needed, the forums are doing just fine....

Spark910 07-16-2004 04:56 PM

I have spoken to unixmad about Kamuii, and he agrees it may be useful as sometimes I am busy with my other jobs. But no final decisions yet made.

XJOKERX 07-16-2004 05:18 PM

Moon Goddess thats from your standpoint because you don't want to be out of a job.

Kamuii would be an addition, so it makes no difference.

No, they aren't.

Do you wonder why people quit sometimes?
Because Graal Online is supposed to be a business, and guess what? Not all of us are 13-14 year old kids who can't tell if they are getting screwed.

The forums are just another aspect.

It matters not, it's an equilibrium of those quitting on joining, so  .
And im sure 13-14yr olds are capeable of sensing being 'screwed'.

You are half right...

It matters not to Graal Online. It matters to companies that take their members seriously, and aim to please.

You almost had it. ;)

protagonist 07-16-2004 05:53 PM

There are not enough misbehavings to warrant another supermod, in my eyes anyway.

Googi 07-16-2004 06:02 PM

Kaimetsu should be an admin.

Mykel 07-16-2004 06:25 PM

Should have been.

Maybe there is a reason to the complaining? Maybe that kind of attitude is why they complain? Maybe....?

WanDaMan 07-16-2004 06:57 PM

My god, why don't you just shut the **** up and stop arguing? You think that you are to make a difference with your smoked perspective Mykel? Spark is right, leave it at that.

They want to make Kamuii an admin. Why? Because they like him.

Not because we actually need one. :whatever:

Apparently it worked

Mykel, I suggest you stop with the nothing but negative comments about Graal, we all know where that will lead...it is not needed at all.
I see many people struggling to make Graal and the forums a good place to play, and chat...it is people like you that ruin it for the rest of us.

Another admin is not needed in my opinion, as I believe Galen got his powers back as admin, and the supermods can do most of the things with the exception of fixing the forums, or making changes to the forums, or changing/adding/removing mods, which is not a daily thing.

Every time there is a change made on these forums that I am involved in, it doesnt even matter what it is, some of you people make mega threads such as this one...it makes no sense to me at all, as Spark and I do things as a whole for the members, not because of one member as was done with the signature in posts rule in NGRT.

If you people would stop for once and think of me as a human being instead of a 38 year old female/mom, things would be alot better. I am not here to be your mom, or even your friend...I am simply here to do the job that Unixmad asked me to do. If he thinks I am doing something wrong, he can tell me...and he never has with the exception of not removing some advertising threads awhile back, and he was quick to get on me about it.

Being staff should not have anything to do with popularity, but most of the time, it does anyway...which is a huge mistake in my eyes, but nothing I can do about that.

Think about it.........

People like me? Are you even listening? Give it a try. I am argueing because I want Graal to be a better place, does that ruin the experience for you? If it does, then maybe you should think about it.

What does this have to do with what he are talking about? I didn't make this thread because of you, or Spark.

What the heck? I think of you as a Graalian, the same as I think of almost all other people on these forums. I don't belive the fact that you are 38 negatively affects anyone's judgement....if anything, it improves it...so I don't understand what you are saying...

Do you think if you weren't popular, you would have recieved your job?

So if a customer feels you are doing a bad job, they should just accept it instead of complaining?

How about taking the complaints to the appropriate people, such as Unixmad instead of littering the forums with a bunch of whining? There have been a few legitament concerns, and questions, but for the most part it is just alot of whining about adding more rules....if members have a problem with moderators or supermods, then go to Unixmad

Brad 07-16-2004 07:57 PM

im gonna start suckin up to people so administration likes me

What if they feel that posting on the forum is a more effective method for encouraging change?

Loriel 07-16-2004 08:12 PM

It would be sufficient to do a good job at moderation
