Vitriol should be removed or changed
Well, Vitriol needs to be either removed or changed, because one person can cast it and make people lose enchantments in a jiffy.
I had one person cast it in trading house and I lost 2 enchantments. I cant get them back because the sword is prepared Suggestion 1: Make it so if you lose enchantments, you can pray to your god for a minute or so and your god restores them. No matter what your grace is. Suggestion 2: Remove it. ^_^ |
Hmmm...
i think i'll go make a thread asking for magic bullet to be nuked. That thing is just too damned strong! :(
|
Cancellation was supposed to cancel such effects, and besides, they were supposed to go for bracers first, so basic leather bracers should provide pdotection. Neither is given on GK, so I agree that somethinbg should be done - but if you remove everything someone doesn't like, you'll soon end up where nobody really wants to go - a plain room in the editor, offline - as the server's too evil.

Same as flaming aura.
|
Can we remove prepare weapon scrolls? :(
They make weapons too strong, and thus I am disadvantaged. |
stop being sarcastic.

I also think we should remove wands, rods and staffs. they make spellcasters too powerful :( |
Vitriol might be strong but the old cancellation attack stuff was completely removed, so only the cancellation spell is removing enchantments, not any other spell.
|
Yeah well Vitriol removes the enchantments from your gods (+5,6,7,8 stuff) and it is impossible to replace them if your weapon is prepared. So that means someone with vitriol can run around removing everyones enchantments. :D
|
To avoid misunderstandings, we're talking about the god's blessings, not enchantments of weapons and armour by scrolls.

I'm just wondering. Do you people know the difference between improvement scrolls and enchantments?

What are you people talking about now. The enchantments done by gods can not be redone once a sword is prepared. This spell removes these enchantments. There is no way to replace them.

Hey, I am only trolling :(
|
I know, but you could try to post something related to what im saying. :)

omg. **** you stupid scripters... you scripted Vitirol and not Ogmas Bracers, or Luecs Chainmail, or ****, not even Aengus' bow...
man, vitirol is lame, i'll admit that ****.. but, the thing that REALLY bothers me, is that it wasn't scripted, until, omg, Ana (or reni to the smart ones) had enough grace to get it... wow, i'm having an epifiny.. maybe, staff does favors for sagesun? or maybe, do favors for her because she can give usd bought items?! omg hm, I WONDER WHY NORMAL PEOPLE, like me, Waterlord, hell, even the ones i'm forgetting (vash, alot of my friends) don't get staff to enable a god-given spell and / or item... maybe because Jagen is still staff? HMM MAYBE **** i swear... this **** is annoying... i had 313 grace(base)... I prayed at leuc for FRIGGIN 9 HOURS.. OK! 9 HOURS... DIDNT GET MY MITHRIL... then waterlord had about, oh, 239, prayed at ogma for a good DAY, and of course.. he doesnt get the bracers... but when somebody like, Ana has enough GP, here come the scripters... conincedently enabling this spell... figures.. corruption once again wins, i guess.. :\ oh, and FYI, MikeTheDarkPaladin had enough GP to get that spell.. staff wouldn't even respond to him, after 5 hours, he gave up, and went on a pking spree.. (this may or may not be true, just what somebody told me) |
They're not lame because they didn't script it :\
Your lame for thinking that.. |
I think I am leaning towards what Argo said a little more because I have seen what they do on debug. Talking to stefan is impossible. He is bombarded with pms soon as he gets on debug, and he leaves. He told us he needed a debug debug just for him. lol
Anyway, GK is retarded. :) |

You have no idea what you are talking about. We did not "script vitriol". We scripters cannot enable spells. Stop spreading lies and rumours or you shall be removed. |

Well, items/spells that don't have their scripts, obviously have to be scripted ^^. Unless, of course, I've been lied to again!! :)
Your right though, you scripters can't enable spells, but, you on the other hand, not just scripters in general, can enable spells, items, and such... Either you or Jagen... Erm... I wish --Chris was here... I rp more then the lot of you... it just so happens people like to have fun on GK every once in-a-while... that comes from leveling or pking, and since I'm a lazy bum, I pk. Quote:

I can have him removed from the forums, even more easily as I am a mod and have the indirect power to enforce the rules :) Quote:
All the spells have already been coded in the mudlib, only few need to have supporting scripts in game. Vitriol is not one of them, I am pretty certain. Quote:

well Its me Ana , and I would like to see vitriol have the same killing power and damage but not ruin armor or erase eas or blessings.
I dont use it very often except when leveling in maps because then I am away from everyone . I will say one thing tho , its a Great Equalizer for a level 20-30 ( weak physical ) priest against pkers/barbarians . I also would like to see staff stop weakening every spell thats effective against pkers/barbarians whenever they start complaining (ie: large snowstorm , create bomb etc ) My idea for Vitriol is same damage and power , but doesnt harm eas or blessings and turns the killed person bright red till they bathe in the ocean Oh and dont forget being Balor is not easy either Special: Health_Regen -2, Spell_Regen -1, Luck -1, -5 Resist_Cold |

The spell will be properly fixed as soon as acid effects are worked out and, more important, thought through.
|
Vitrol is not an acid prayer is it? I think it does alot of damage, and it should be left alone. The armour/weapon defects it causes needs to be removed.
|
Vitriol? Sounds like one of those impotence drugs.
|
vitriol:
Noun 1. a. See sulfuric acid. b. Any of various sulfates of metals, such as ferrous sulfate, zinc sulfate, or copper sulfate. 2. Bitterly abusive feeling or expression. I agree, when I lost my War Axe, it took until I had 3 days left of gold till I got it back. And I didn't ever get it restored to what it fully was. I see other 'popular' people get their **** fixed within a matter of minutes, it really makes me mad..
|
Yeah, it makes me mad too that there are 50 people on debug. The bribe stefan too btw. And they did when I was there.
|
Quote:
'The bribe stefan too btw' o_O im pretty sure you get debug if you help out kingdoms, thru gfx or scripts, or the translations... thats not really bribing him either... |
