Graalian Awards - Scripter of the year.
If you don't know what this is about read the Graalian Awards thread in the Main forum. But this is to vote for the Scripter of the year!
|
Your little award things are getting really damn annoying. Stop now!
[edit] Besides, what has Kai done this year that should make him even a nominee? It isn't like he ever does any work  . [/edit] |
I think this is extremelly stupid especially since you three (mykel, tyrial, and kronan) don't script as their main developement choice so therefore you cannot make valid nominations to who the best scripters are, I could probably name more people who would belong on that list,
Me Giltwist Trevor Tseng are just a few, but even if we were on the balet, kai would probably win anyway so yea |

Don't forget the 3d thing too. I counted the demensions. Although the demensions are flattened to 2d because it has to be, the concept it still 3d. |

Yeah, I shouldn't have made so many spheres.
|
Kai, mainly because he has taken the liberty to start this little "Scripting School."

Kaimetsu is the best scripter, obviously - but if you want your "fun", the "fun" would be to see who else would get some votes. Perhaps we should have a "second-best scripter" award poll instead: After Kaimetsu+Stefan, who is the best scripter? :p (And, you forgot CheeToS on that list as well.) |
Wow... I seriously feel very unloved, thanks Jon and Tseng...

hmm... I'll have to think on this one. |
Gah, I wanna be on the list !!
I'm at least as good as Giltwist and he was mentioned. |
I think that the entire GST should be up there as well, but I'm also pretty sure that Kai would owninate everyone.

I do not think that I deserve to be up there ^^
I have not been very useful recently :( |

Heh, you guys were nominated.
*waits for Tseng to say something about how it's not fair and take this whole thing way to seriously* |
Mykel, why did you only make it three people per catagory? AND WHY DO I STILL HAVE NO GANI CATAGORY?
|
I vote Stefan for best scripter.
Angel,Ningnong and ProjectShifter should be listed too.. |

I'd vote ether Ning, Angel, or Delph. It might be Delph because he basically made Era's scripts :O
|
This is what happens when you ask non-scripters to rate scripters.

Kaimetsu, obviously. He has helped me in so many ways with script, I could not even begin to describe. Though, that is the keyword: Helped. The fact is, I'm not that bad a scripter myself, and I often compare myself to the best, but that is the reason why Kaimetsu should win. The fact that he is merely capable of helping me is what impresses me. I ask some people for help, and they are usually idiotic about it.
The only 2 people I know who are the greatest scripters (clientside/effects/mathematically crucial) are Giltwist and Kaimetsu. Kaimetsu knows the scripting language better then Giltwist, but Giltwist on the mathematical scale has Kaimetsu beat (from my observations anyway). For serverside scripting I trust Jagen the most out of anyone, he knows of so many commands only him and Stefan know it is incredible. That said, I think the best scripter list should have been Jagen, Kaimetsu, and Giltwist. Each have there strengths and weaknesses...but Kaimetsu would have still won because of the ignorance of many people. |

Besides, arguing about the applicability of mathematics is pointless, as it has not yet been established that either Giltwist or I have an advantage over the other. |
