Avatar. How do I get mine up? I have one or two....

Jus needta know how to apply it to my forum name, and the piccy that goes above my name....

That is way too big to be an avatar. And you need a certain number of posts first.

You are probabbly going to ask so I will just answer you now. You need 500 posts to have an avatar.

Every night and day make a goodbye and hello thread when you go to bed and wake up, and in less thant 250 days you will have it. And just post normally too.

Some people forum messaged me asking how I had custom text at around 200 posts. I am a moderator so I could put up custom text whenever I wanted. Moderators can put up custom text whenever but they still need 500 posts for an avatar. It takes 1,000 posts for custom text normally.

That kind of falls under the category of missure of powers :\ . Your suppose to use the custom text to tell people your a mod, not for your own personal text.

I dont think it should be on post # at all. I think it should be based on how long you have been a member.

How is that misuse of power? Wow, I have a custom text, that's so harmful to everyone, it might hurt someone! :rolleyes:. Also I can't exactly set my custom text to 'Moderator' since nobody put me into the moderator list. I was on it on my DragonX2 account but when I switched, no one bothered to put me on it.

And lay off of DX. Its not like somebody is mentally unstable now because he put something in a different font format or something like that. If it was misuse of power, it would be him closing people threads for now reason or something along those lines. Not using a custom font.

Ok guys, let me put it this way. Person A goes 5 mph over the speed limit. Person B kills Person C.

Is Person B anymore of a criminal than Person A?

Just because something isn't severe doesn't mean that it didn't happen...

I know a lot of people that go 5 mph over the speed limit, nobody cares. If Person A ran into a pedestrian then it would be severe. Of course Person B is going to get in tons of trouble, why would Person A?

This was just a simple example. Both people commited a crime, so both people are criminals.

This would be the situation...

Person A is jealous and wants custom fonts... Person B has, and has to advantages of being MoD. Person C has 1000 posts, and still has it...

It just so happens Person B is as worthy of it as Person C. So shut it

I'm not saying that Person B shouldn't be able to use his/her custom title power, but if he picks to use it then the title should be used for to let people know the s/he is a mod, not for anything s/he wants.

I totally agree with Protagonist. If DX wants to use that for reasons beyond for MoD reasons, allow him to. He earned it / gained it, so dont be a little bish. Take this to another thread, and answer meh question..

Anyways, First you need to have your signature hosted somewhere. Then click the http://forums.graal2001.com/forums/i...op_profile.gif button that is on the top 3/4 to the right. Then click the "edit profile" link that is 1/4 from the left top. Go to the box where you put your signature in and type:

(IMG)http://thelink.to/your/sig.sigext(/IMG)

Replace the '(' and ')' with '[' and ']'.

There ya go guy.

The fact is that moderators are unconditionally given the ability to change their title. They are given that ability for a reason (if vB's creators wished them only to have the 'moderator' title then they would have made it set itself automatically), it's not just a glitch. If DragonX wants to take advantage of the right given to him then he's entitled to do so.
