First Phase of Player World Beta testing

Today we start the first phase of Player World hosting Beta test:

* If you are a VIP/Gold you can subscribe on www.graal.net (be Sure to use the same Email and Password than on Graal)

* If you want to start a Player World project, you will be able to submit your project in My Page=> Register Player World

For the first phase, we will only validate "already open" Player Worlds, you can nevertheless record your player world but it will not be validated until we launch phase 2 of the beta test.

In a few days (probably next week) we will start Phase 2:

* Player World Owners will be able to pay the $59 (per 6 months) or $99 (per 1 Year). After the Payment is made and PlayerWorld validated we will launch Gserver/Npcserver.

If everything go well with Phase 2 we will Open the hosting to everyone.

NOTE: All "already open" Player World manager must contact me by Mail ([email protected]) , so i give them access to the billing system and Gserver/Npcserver manager.

If you see a bug on www.graal.net please open a ticket from http://support.graalonline.com , it will help us a lot.

ALSO I WILL NOT TOLERATE SPAM NEITHER 1 LINE MESSAGE IN THIS THREAD ! IF YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT I MEAN THEN DON'T WRITE IN THIS THREAD.

Thanks -:)

So you aren't even giving the worlds any kind of grace period before they have to start paying? I forsee some servers going down the drain.

Also, you still never mentioned what lies in store for Graal 2000. It's currently an official server. What is going to happen to it?

BTW, you would probably get better responses to your announcements if you would post information on more than just the forums. While it is a great tool for posting info, the majority of your players do not read them nor have they ever even seen them.

feivel 06-26-2003 08:39 PM

Damnit i was going to post one line and say "AHAHAH yay i posted as the 2nd reply in a Unixmad thread" but now I cant just say that so I will say something relevant...
Are you saying that all player worlds are going to have to pay to be hosted? I am so confused lol.

unixmad 06-26-2003 08:44 PM

All actual Player World will not have to pay for the next 6 months, it's why i ask them to contact me so i give them pre filled accounts with money credit.

OK, I will inform Delteria.

BTW, when I try to sign up it says:
Please verify that your Email/Password match your graal account

And I am putting in my graal account and password.

Also:
It wont allow you to make an account on the support thing either. How the hell are we supposed to do anything if nothing works?

CasanovaCanavi 06-26-2003 09:22 PM

Whereever I go on Graal.net my computer crashes.. I tired restarting, but it doesn't work.. I tried doing that ticket thing, but it isn't working.. :o

Sky 06-26-2003 09:38 PM

Everything worked fine for me. It's just it recognizes my account as 'sky' when I registered it as 'Sky'.

ETD 06-26-2003 09:46 PM

ok, so what i should do (as an owner of a PW project) i should go to graal.net, and then sign up useing my account name and PW, and e-mail...

then wait till next week (phase 2) and then pay the $59, or $99... then sometime after that i will get a server online?

a few questions:
#1. i made this account about 3 years ago... i have not had access to the e-mail account i used to make this account in a long time, nor am i 100% sure of which it could be... what should i do?
#2. what do i do if another person besides me is going to pay?

*trys to register on graal.net*
it's telling me:
"Please verify that your Email/Password match your graal account"

and i am sure the password is right =x

MarkB 06-26-2003 10:00 PM

I am a little confused here still...Archaic only has the gmap, and the levels generated from it...and the GFX, is it worth submiting or just waiting until the second phase comes out?

Aknts 06-26-2003 10:04 PM

Bah now we have to wait even longer.. jeeze
You know it will work so just open it for everyone.

Check your e-mail ;)

thesaiyan 06-26-2003 10:16 PM

I keep getting this message:

Please verify that your Email/Password match your graal account

And Im doing everything correctly also. =(
Maybe is it because I've changed the e-mail assigned to this account before? I got Nemesis to change the e-mail on my account for me like a year ago.

You have to use your graal account password and the e-mail your account is registered to... :|

Does it work when you try to change your password?

Maybe the e mail isnt registered in graal website?

Nitkizi 06-26-2003 10:23 PM

Just to let you know, I e-mailed you about the hosting of Shaded Legend, unixmad. :)

I know that dude.. I did the correct pass and the e-mail that is on my account. I wonder if its not working because I've gotten the e-mail changed before through the global staff changing it for me.

Azrael528 06-26-2003 11:37 PM

What if you don't remember the email you signed up with...

Rickytjr 06-26-2003 11:46 PM

?

2. Player World Private Description

"Please provide detailed, accurate description of your player world and what graal.net resources and in which way you plan to use. This description will be the basis for the approval or rejection of your player world's hosting on graal.net, and later, to ensure that you are using the services in the intended way. This description will not be used as a public description of your player world. It must be written in English."

Does this mean that our playerworld could actually be rejected by this?

Seems like so.

Darlene159 06-27-2003 12:06 AM

Nothing works for me either....graal.net or the ticket thingy :(

Oh, I see the problem, the databases are not up to date, it is using my origianl password which has been changed several times since then, and my original email address, which I dont have anymore, therefore I cant get the info!
GAH
A little help here?

Nitkizi 06-27-2003 12:22 AM

I'm in trouble here too..I made an account with problem, however, the e-mail I used to make this account, [email protected], I no longer have. I use cable now, and I have no way of being able to get into that e-mail. :(

Milkdude99 06-27-2003 12:31 AM

Seems I also have that same problem, I made my account with an old ISP MSN which I no longer use. ( I also have cable)
[email protected] isn't going to work I don't have that account anymore.. :(

Nitkizi 06-27-2003 12:45 AM

Looks like the best way to fix this problem is to make it so that graal.net recogonizes your current e-mail/password and put someone on the official so that people can change their account's e-mail address :(

As for getting the money together, for some folks, it may be tough. So here is a way that your establshed player comminuty or staff can help with the cost of hosting the playerworld.

1. have a world the people want to play

2. have a checking account, and an email account, and a website (even a free website from angelfire or tripod)

3. go to www.paypayl.com

4. hook paypal up to your checking account (takes a few days to proccess but its free)

5. make a donation page with paypal's utilities (free)
(under merchant tools - website tools)

6. put the donation code on your web site somewhere

7. tell pepople, ie. in the server message, or in a timeout
every few minutes in a system npc, to please visit your donation
page and send whatever amount of money they want to help
support your server.

when you get money in paypal, you can send it to your checking
account for free., or keep it in paypal and send it to Unixmad to pay for the playerworld hosting. So long as the money is transfered, it should not matter where it comes from.

for an example, click here: http://www.figmentcode.com/donate.htm

also see my sig for another link

unixmad 06-27-2003 01:39 AM

If you want to change your Email then open a support ticket on support.graalonline.com, also be sure to use account+password coming from Graal when you register on support.graal.net

To register on graal.net you must use the Email and Password related to your Graal account, if you have forget your Email or want to change then use support.graalonline.com

When you open a support ticket be sure to include the TRANSACTION ID, so we can verify you are the real owner of the account.

About the graal.net database, it is exactly the same database than graalonline.com used to verify Email + password, so if it doesn't work you have made a mistake somewhere, try to change your password from the password changer to see if you use the good Email...

[email protected] isn't going to work I don't have that account anymore.. :(

Milkdude99 06-27-2003 01:56 AM

Ok I got the support desk to work this time (first time it has for me without an error) I sent a request for an email change but It won't help me with the activation email for my account since it was sent to an invalid email address.. :(

Darlene159 06-27-2003 01:59 AM

Nemesis changed my email for me long ago, but I guess it isnt in the database or something, so I also got the support ticket thing to work now, and sent a message about it...then I will try the graal.net thing after I get this straightened out :asleep:

Mykel 06-27-2003 02:02 AM

I am confused. To change our e-mail we have to open up a ticket on support, but we cant make a name on support.

Use your graal account name and password for the registration on support ticket

konidias 06-27-2003 02:33 AM

Heheh I signed up on graal.net just fine. :)

There should be a person database listing for graal.net, instead of just the search person option. That way you can see all registered people.

Nitkizi 06-27-2003 02:34 AM

I added a ticket to request about having my e-mail changed. And unix hasn't responded to my e-mail. -sigh- :(

G_yoshi 06-27-2003 02:54 AM

Welp, I'm all registered and have sent the email that was requested. Good luck with the payment things :)

MedievalSmurf 06-27-2003 03:12 AM

Hmmmm this is a large interest for me you will all find out why l8r.
But one question I do have for you Unixmad , You said that if people spend their "coins" aka "Time" at your server that it will earn points and that your points will determine if you dont have to pay. Does this mean that if you have allready payed for a year and you make it to the No Pay Status for a month that you get a month of free credit added to the end of your allready payed period? or do you actualy have to be at the end of your payed period and on the Special list to be able to make any use of the free time period?

so, in other words, yes, you get that free month added in, and you don't lose the time you paid for
