All Descent Level Makers Look Here
 

Ok basically I need to see alot of peoples levels. If you want (I hope you will) would you post one of your best levels please. Im trying to find the best of the level makers the currently still build. Please don't post here if you don't post a descent level. If you ask why I won't to see them don't ask. Because I will not answer. I will say why soon but please just post one of your best levels.

umm okay well you guys have already seen this level but it's the only one i have a screenshot of right now so yea....

Do you mean complete levels? I have lots of expirements with tiles I've made you've seen all of my levels on 2k1 not sure where all of my levels are I'll have to check my home computer when I get there. I think I'll post the karakaze base I always liked it. (even though people edited it a bit ick)

Pretty obvious, your starting some sort of server project?

And Mad you don't really have to post a level for I already know your quality. So I only need to see people's levels I don't know.

I could show you a dried up river I was making because some one told me it couldnt be done with tiles. Some day I'll actually use it for something. Its like when you see a river in the summer it gets really dried up and there is only a small amount of water going here and there along the river bed. :)

I'm pretty sure he wouldn't take your levels and then just not say a word about it ever.

I know i'm not the best, but hey.

And a cave-level here.

Thats a good idea, but the Graal tiles won't let us make it look real good.

Maybe you should do it with the water tiles that were in the outside level i posted... It's a bit more dried-up, as that river more looks like real small.

First to spanky: Yes the tiles wont make it look super good which is why it only goes from left to right. To make it change direction I would totally have to trash the shadow casting since there would be shadows on both sides of the river bed. x.x

GoZelda: I would use those but it wouldnt allow for the twisting and turning I would want which is why I didnt do it. Those tiles are mostly good for beaches and puddles over actual streams. Although I'm sure if I wanted to take the time I could go back and add some puddles with it yea but I'm to lazy as I proved my point to the person that you could make a dried up river. ;) I could think of a few other ways to do it too this was just the one I really liked. If I was going for a flatter dried up stream look I probably would use those tiles like so. (see attachment

Now before some one jumps on me I spent 2 minutes on it and if I was really going to try I wouldnt have made everything all straight and ugly like. See doing it with these tiles would be ok if I was making a small stream but for a river the water tiles would look to square and not allow for the smoothness I would expect to see in a river. Although to get a truly nice effect it would take a few graphics me thinks.

I give you 1/10 for that level. It is unfinished, and the path is way to straight. Also you use very little tiles in the path and too much rock tiles there. The water is nice but it looks very sqaure. And the guy standing there is ugly.

Congratulations you win the Gold medal for being a complete ****ing idiot. Not only do you have no skills in level making which I was being nice and not pointing out in my previous posts. But the above screen shot was an example of why your idea would look like ****. Of course had you removed head from ass before you posted you would have seen that it wasnt a level I had made to show off. Nor was the person in the screen shot put there but it was my character in which I was standing next to something. But instead due to your stupidity I am now very annoyed something that rarely happens to this degree. So please unless you actually have your head out of your ass ****

If you ask me, raised and sinking grass was the worst addition to the tileset ever.

It has its uses, but using it as a level detailing shouldn't be one of them. There are some places where nothing else would look quite as nice.

LoL im the one who made the Grass on Grass tiles for the tileset. Heh I made them and sent them to Stefan and he added them to the Graal tileset.

eh, i didn't know what else to call them...
it's mostly where you used the grass cliff bottom tile, instead of the desert one... or where you forgot to add a tile on that one cliff, or you put 4 tiles the same in a row.. looks like your mouse slipped while holding the tile

anyways, i don't care at the moment... but when i did that, i was bored, and it was in that 'perfect level' section, so i thought i'd pick out the simple errors in it
