I love you, thanks.

zell12 06-01-2003 06:10 AM

I tried to unzip it and it gave me a crc error, can you send the file unzipped on aim? my sn is zellheh. :)

tlf288 06-01-2003 08:21 AM

I downlaoded and didn't get a CRC error, but sure I'll send it to you.

Kramer 06-01-2003 08:27 AM

it won't unzip x.x, says it's corrupt, send it to me too, if you have my AIM that is, the one in my profile is sort of out of date.

What did you zip it with? Its not working for me either. Seems to be an error in the zipping of the file , it may work for you because you already have in on your comp. What OS are you using? I have Win XP and maybe it's because of our OS I dunno.

tlf288 06-01-2003 09:15 AM

I understand what your saying, Kaimetsu.

But for anyone willing to take a chance ;) , I sent the unzipped file to MoonGod and he re-zipped it for me so it works now. Same link as the one I previously posted.

superb 06-01-2003 09:31 AM

you probably used windows' builtin zip support or somethin'.. If not then maybe your winzip's just weird

Darlene159 06-01-2003 01:57 PM

omg, I didnt know this program automatically changed the links too!!!
Thanks so much :D
Now we just need one that automatically changes all the gifs to png/mng (on the levels), and we would be set

Ah hah, but now GIFs aren't going to be patent.

Apparently all patents are not going to be allowed now due to complications. Well they may be allowed, but if a format has a patent they can not publically have a progam so public such as PaintShopPro that will allow you so save into that file type.

I think it was .jpg I read the other day someone has a legal patent against, but apparently the courts wouldn't allow it to be reconisded as a patent due to its wide use.

zell12 06-01-2003 03:51 PM

Hey, Trevor guy, that zipped file you sent me on aim worked good. What program did you use to zip it the first time? ;x

Milkdude99 06-01-2003 04:30 PM

He used the built in one on Win XP.:\ As he posted I rezipped it in winzip and sent it back to him. And yes I scanned it for virus as I hope he did mine not out of mistrust but just to be on the safe side.;)

Yeah, it changes the lnks in the *.graal files, but the files that are already *.nw you have the change the links for the new file extension.

gif2mng gfxname.gif thats it!

She means changing all the gifs in her levels to pngs... Basically a program that runs through the nw file and changes all ".gif" to ".png" I mean it's not really hard to do manually... just opening the program in notepad, and do a replace all for .gif heheh. :)

By the way, the method you mentioned is so bothersome. All you have to do is drag and drop the gif file on to the gif2mng exe file, and it will automatically convert the file to png for you. No need to open up a command window and type it all out. Although yeah, I wish it did multiple gif's at a time. That would make things a lot easier... Could just drag and drop all the gifs and let gif2mng go to town. :p

Your prayers have been answered folks...Presenting Multigif2mng, created by Ibonic...He would post it himself but he forgot his forum password and has to change it.

This does not do the levels thing you were speaking of though

COMMENTS by Ibonic
"it's not error-proof, as I made it in about 10 minutes, but it's multi-threaded (so it shouldn't be slow) and shells the gif2mng.exe that comes with Graal.. but does what it's supposed to, so I hope that's all that matters" It also supports drag and drop :)

tlf288 06-02-2003 02:45 PM

Not that I am challenging your athourity, but there isn't a rule that says we can't post these files if they are uner 300kB.

Oh, I think it should be added to the rule list to avoid this kind of confusion though.

;\ That's what I get for trying to help people. BTW, I have a virus scanner and scanned it myself before posting it. Remember, I did NOT create it, Ibonic did, a trusted member of the Graal Online Community, a person whom has been global staff, and of whom unixmad wants working for him. Ibonic decided he didn't want to work for him however. It's a shame people just have to nit pick over everything here. Oh well.

superb 06-02-2003 07:50 PM

Alright, I'm sorry I kinda exploded there Kai. I just feel that Ibonic is a trustworthy programmer and he merely wanted to help out. :) Would you like to give it a scan yourself? I can AIM it or something.

Loriel 06-02-2003 11:13 PM

I wonder how those legendary virus scanners work that can detect any maliciousliness in a binary :]

petro1212 06-08-2003 03:36 PM

:'(
Well i cant unzip it correct also get a Csc error or someting
And i also have winxp
Could someone send the exe file to my email [email protected]
or my aim petromeeuwsen :D

zell12 06-08-2003 06:02 PM

The most recent file posted works, stop complaining. If you want to use it but don't trust him then scan it. It works for me.

MedievalSmurf 06-08-2003 07:08 PM

I know from experience that the file that tif288 uploaded to the forum must not be fully uploaded right because a crc error is a damaged data error and has nothing to do with the Windows Os (as other people suggested ) or with tif288 WinZip unless his WinZip is some how really f--ked up.;)

zell12 06-08-2003 08:42 PM

Alot of things cause crc errors, and I mean alot. Most common is when there is just a bad or damaged data cluster in the zipped information. Thats all, happens to me sometimes.

petro1212 06-09-2003 04:22 PM

Nuuuuu :'(

Well i whas also looking for a converter but this one is .graal to .nw.
:'(
And i want one that goes from .nw to .graal
:'( Becuas .graal is smaller right ?!??!!
If someone has that one please post the link or something :'(
