As you know, Renegade was hacked by some people.
The other Renegade staff and I are going to change Renegade in some ways, maybe a new overworld or some other things.
Please dont put stupid stuff like spam, and dont change the subject. Please help us and post some thought through ideas that we could make and everyone would enjoy.

what happened to all the levels that u guys had...none of them were backed up?

No we HAVE, but we're trying to even make it better, and I made better storyline with Twists etc ;)

Why didn't anyone on the server have a complete backup of at least the levels?

They probably thought private servers couldn't be hacked.. Haha they sure fooled them! :rolleyes:

Anyways you should ALWAYS backup the server.. Its just stupid not to do it.. :\

No you're not changing the overworld.

Damnit! Why must everyone turn something perfectly great into a silly thing?

Learn from mistakes in the past! Changing an overworld fails 90% of the time! The amount of time it will take for you to make a new playerworld is the amount of time it takes for the standards to raise, therefore, your playerworld will be released x months later and it won't be that good at all. Release it with the current overworld, everything is fine, but if you keep waddling along your custom heads/bodies/tileset will be old and no one will care anymore.

You should have backed up the levels, finish the scripts, and made it public. Renegade was supposed to come out 2 weeks after it went private, but it turns out it's been about 2 months already. You will be just like the other playerworlds that have been private for ages. They get released and they are not fun at all. That's why they're at the bottom of the list.

Example:
Maloria, although it was somewhat unfairly by Hawk was complete. It was done, they didn't waste time in private changing things. Now look at it, it's a fairly decent server. I've heard some good things about it.

Galethia comes out, with a big overworld, and look where it is now. Private again! I don't want to name other servers etc, it's kind of singling them out, but the point I am trying to drive across is waiting will only hurt your PW

Learn from past mistakes! This is why many Graal servers fail. It's a shame to have a classic server that has revolutionary ideas go to waste in private when people are developing the exact same things offline as we speak.

It wasn't unfairly because Hawk passed it because it deserved. He only did and said that because he didn't care about Graal anymore. And it was also reviewed by Stefan before it went private, and he really loved it, but anyway, that's what everyone is saying about Maloria nowadays (about the development)! :D
People say that it really improved after the day it came out, specially with new events and new/fun npcs.

We are currently doing a MAJOR update (update, not a change) on the current Nations, npcs and levels. We are adding some fun npcs to the systems like the Trading and we are adding one more Nation (Polar Nation).

The Nation Wars will be bigger than ever and they also will have some new features too! And as an example of new npcs: new weapons for each Nation will be added too, like Spears and Slingshot!

Just be sure to connect on Maloria this weekend! We pretend to release it on Saturday. :)

Well if you pretend to release it then nobody will be on then because you aren't really releasing it! You are just pretending to! :p (I know it was just a typo.)

Argh... stick with what you have! Why do people make enough of a server to get it private or online, and then decide within a month or two of being up, that they want to completely rebuild it all? I don't even want to start listing the pw's that have done this before... Andor, Faheria, Frolic... whoops I said I wasn't going to start listing them. >_<

seriously, changing overworlds 100000 times is not good, players will be very discouraged to even play.

thats why with new enigma, im not even uploading anything untill tis completed.

Renegade is back online and we're using GMAP. Yes we have permisson to use it from Stefan. Dun worry we're basicly keeping all teh insides and stuff so all we're really doing is making a new overworld with GMAP. Our old overworld wasn't even done so we have like no work!

We just got put up today and we haven't finished basicly anything except map and 30% of teh tileset. I WILL show some once we get further. I hope not to be on Private for more than 1-2 months at the most (considering we're only remaking overworld).

Renegade Update
 

Renegade was hacked, today Loriel got my RC working and i added in all the remaining staff.

Stefan let us use the GMAP function for Renegade, this means you will see more unique things in some time

Everything we had was deleted but i believe we had some backups. Only staff will be able to experience the 2k2 look for now, heres a screenshot =o

I Mean, we just got put up today and we started redoing. And he's sitting here posting SCREENSHOTS!!! It makes us look like we're using 2k2's tileset. Damn at least wait untill we do something good to it :\

Hey now calm down. I was messing around with our Bodies ;) That was a hair style but I changed hair color and eye color. lol And yes he's single

This isnt renegade, i mean it is but not even 1% finished, all it is is a screenshot of me in it, the hackers deleted everything i dont know if someone backed up our stuff, i think we still have levels.

I'm glad you guys made the step, but I'm quite dissapointed.

There was a reason why I inspected Renegade, there was a reason why it passed. It passed because the server was fine as it is. It's almost like betrayal. People use the PWA to get their server online then totally remake the server without the restrictions of influence of the PWA itself. Because of that, I am very dissapointed :(

Yes! It is Renegade! It was the one Jinx and I passed! And therefore, you have created a totally new server and it does not deserve to be online.
