Most of you "role-players" sicken me

I can't believe what I see.

I don't want to boast numbers, but I remember 3 weeks ago Dustai was, by far, the largest kingdom around. No contest. Then Bakugun came along and started recruiting en masse, and rivaled our powers and skills. Now I go on today and I find that there are barely any Bakugun online, nor Dustari, but all in Zormite. What's next? A mass migration to forest, then to pirates?

And I honestly can't believe how some head of states say how they are the ones that turned their kingdoms around. Impossible. There are just a bunch of stupid people doing stupid things, then they move on, like stupid nomads, and leech off of their next victim.

Don't tell me this because Dustari is somewhat in a period of dormancy, I saw this happen a lot on Graal 2001 as well. It's simply NOT fun at all! You've got disloyal bastards joining your kingdom, swearing "alliegiance" to you, then they run off and join another, until their purpose is served, then onto the next. They don't give a **** about their reputation, they're in it for the numbers and the power. If you got a "spiffier" title than in another kingdom, they run off to join them.

Stupid kingdom *****s like this are totally ruining Graal 2002. Thanks, you've turned it all into a big fad. Loyalty is most likely a thing of the past as long as you can fulfill your meager materialist posessions. This is why graal 2002 will never ever be a great role-playing place, because mindless idiots that want and want will fulfill any ends to achieve it.

You all disgust me. The end.

I don't like it either. Which is why hardly any of my members will get any type of power, except for the ones who I trust, like FFusion, Stylez, and Zen.

zell12 10-21-2002 09:59 AM

I would never leave Dustari or my Paladinship. But I can't go on Graal2002 to RP or even level up and play because my computer sucks :(

Qwert616 10-21-2002 10:20 AM

Although I am sort of new to Role Playing, I was kind of upset from what I have seen, especially earlier today.:(

_0AfTeRsHoCk0_ 10-21-2002 12:19 PM

This isn't a trend new to graal 2002, think back to Graal 2001

A lot of people are simple idiots who do nothing more than leech. They want to join a larger kingdom, bomb their superiors with PM's and messages so they can get a better rank in hopes of one day achieving ultimate power and then have the ability to control a large group or members. I mean, no one likes to lead 3 people, better to lead 100 people that yield to their demands, right?

However, if they get impatient, they decide to quit the kingdom and join a new one, and repeat the process over again. This is why you'll see within a few weeks Zormite numbers die down, then numbers in another kingdom skyrocket again. It's a terrible cycle and makes role-playing absolutely not fun at all.

This is not the Zormites fault by the way, it's just the way things are, sadly.

Crovax_Dark_Lord 10-21-2002 02:43 PM

Its a problem thats hard to solve, perhaps that idea, you should pay to join a kingdom, would help, or when you reach a certain rank you have to swear alligance, preventing them from changing kingdoms for a week.
I'm just throwing ideas around, anyone else with better ones?

Kaimetsu 10-21-2002 02:53 PM

It'd be NICE if the kingdom LEADERS had MEMBERSHIP CRITERIA other than 'You must have at least ONE X CHROMOSOME'.

IQ tests aren't much good though... because people cheat those, lol. You'd have to like personally quiz each person and throw random questions at them.

MilkyWay0016 10-21-2002 05:48 PM

We should all get together and make a list of known kingdom hoppers, and ban them from joining our kingdoms (at least untill they reform or whatever 0.o)

BlKnight 10-21-2002 07:11 PM

It's annoying, but on the same topic weren't you the one who didn't care if kingdoms were unbalanced?

It's a known fact that people want to try new things. They join dustari because it's up and running. Than they want to see zormite etc.

This isn't a "try and buy" thing. The players should know the platform of each of the kingdom leaders and the kingdoms, then join acordingly. I have no problem with people leaving for RP purposes and joining another kingdom, but basically people are just dropping and running to other kingdoms with no reasonable explanation. This is ludacris, and you've got to be a complete idiot to think that this is legitimate role-playing.

Kingdoms are never good unbalanced, and quite frankly, role-playing on Graal 2002 at this point is non exsistant. Here is why

1) It's too lengthy to get to kingdom isles.
2) People are more interested in getting SSJ rings of power and gaining plats to buy SSJ things.
3) How can you possibly have a suitable war on such a vast map? Just getting together for a bettle would certainly take a long time.

BlKnight 10-22-2002 03:15 AM

It's not good rping. As well I am not an idiot. What I am saying is it is kind of strange how when the other kingdoms complained that everybody was joining dustari and everything will be unequal you were angry and said that it's not their fault everybody likes dustari. Now when there are fewer people, you are angry that another kingdom has so many people.

It's another known fact that people get bored. People switch classes, people make new characters, people switch kingdoms.

aylad 10-22-2002 05:41 AM

All the morons sicken me

I am sickened not by kingdom-hoppers, but by people who "RP" a character who acts like a 20th-century American, 5 years old, with an IQ of about 23.

I constantly see people from Bakugun and sometimes Pirates or even Dustari running around, WITH their kingdom tags and ranks, WITH their full RP names, and not even bothering to pretend to roleplay. I haven't seen many problems with Zormite yet, although I'm sure there have been. From what I've seen, Forest *seems* to be the most consistent RP kingdom, although admittedly I don't see Forest folk much except in toguilds. I do know at least one Orc who NEVER RP's and probably couldn't if his life depended on it, but I won't flame in this post.

I don't care if people want to be OOC, but they should take off their tags, and everyone who is not RPing should at least respect those who do. Some third-grader running up to me, pressing A, and committing obscene acts just because I have the long hairstyle that women usually get, EVEN THOUGH I'M CLEARLY MALE, is not RPing -- is not respecting my RP -- is not treating me like a human being -- and should really grow up.

This applies even to kingdom leaders. coughcoughGhost. I'm not flaming, I'm simply pointing out that even kings fail to take off tags when going OOC. (He didn't do the "humping" thing, he just made one brief comment about the hair).

I really do get ticked about this. IRL, I have short hair, but seriously..... how many of you have never in your life seen a long-haired man? Did you run up and start rubbing on him and calling him a girl? Act mature, for once. Respect my character.

Erm why not set a flag to each player, if they have the flag of a diff kingdom make it so they can't join another without officially quitting?

They just want to get the "toguild:" messages so they can keep up with what people in the kingdom are doing, or maybe they're waiting for someone in the guild (like the king) to come online. As for running arround with their ranks, Most are built into the tag. :o

It's not like we need an exact figure. We just need to watch out for things like:

Spelling properly and using correct grammar doesn't mean squat if the player can't roleplay to save their life.

True, but they should be considered. I'm not saying that they should be the only factor but:

Terrible Spelling/Grammer => Idiot => DO NOT RECRUIT

Sure, you can administer other tests after that, but I think it should be one of the first.

user13-xo 10-22-2002 02:52 PM

The only kingdom I have joined is Zormite. I was in Zormite on g2k1 and now g2k2.

Why are people allowed to join more then one kingdom? Unless im mistaken

BlKnight 10-22-2002 07:30 PM

If there was a test like that I would fail it.

Take a look at my other messages, you will see typos beyond counting.

Or do you mean people who use short forms and abrevations and bad slang?

BTW I made 3 typos typing this. But as i was about to click the submit button I decided to recheck.

Graal518 10-22-2002 09:40 PM

I think this is one of the reasons why I never took part in Graal Role Play. From what I see, it's way too disorganized . Part of the blame DOES fall on some of the leaders for allowing this mess. And to the players who like to kingdom jump:

WAKE THE **** UP! It's not like you can just up and keep changing kingdoms. That is bad roleplay. If you're thinking about being a kingdom hopper, you might as well not be in a kingdom AT ALL. I don't know all too much about what is on 2k2.. Don't they have some kind of nomadic or neutral setting for the players to select? I'm not sure...I've not been on much at all.

To sum it up: If you have joined a said kingdom, stick with it. Unless your character has a valid reason and not some crap like... "omy this keengdam si leetier thne thsi 1 lolorolf!"

And finally... Many loev for good ol' Free Form Text RP. *sighs nostalgically.*
