About the council.
 

This is a very bad idea, seeing as how the GMs are now like dummies on strings being controled by the council. The PWA is now, ded, seeing as how they control that too. I saw his annnouncment, and thought it was something nice, and we was taking a break from Graal2002, but as I read it, I just stopped, and went to sleep for a while -_-

The system itself seems quite flawed.

It's hard enough to find Stefan and Unixmad on togther, how can you expect them, and three other people, to be online at the same time to discuss issues which require day to day scrutiny? It's going to be impossible.

If you go ahead with the council, and let them decide who needs banning and unbanning, the mob is basically going to be running Graal. If Joe Schmoe, friend of a council member goes and hacks, he won't get banned because the council member will vouch for him. Why not just let playerworld managers decide who should ban? I sure don't want to have to wait for a meeting when someone is destorying Graal now.

Do you really think that a member voted from the council that plays on x and y servers will decide that his faviroite servers should get shut down? No, he won't. You're going to end up with a diverse population that plays almost every server, and you can bet your bottom dollar that they won't want to shut their faviorite servers down.

The GM is also at the mercy of the mob, if council members 1 and 2 decide to form an elaborate conspiracy to get the classic GM kicked, they could do so with ease as long as they promise their fellow councilmen a good comfortable position in the Graalian hierarchy.

No, I'm not saying this because PWA is at risk, I'm saying it because it's a poorly designed and thought out system. Sure, it sounds good in theory, but I mean, I thought they would have had enough experience by now to know what works and what doesn't. Whatever happened to the way things were? They were fine, a common sense system should be left as it is. I understand Unixmad wants to give a voice to the people, but this is not the way to go about it

Democracy is slow and fair, fascism is faster but not better. Make up your minds, do you want to be represented or not?

I love this idea. Gives graal more of a securely managed feel.

You are could care less about what he says about the CLASSIC PLAYERWORLDS. Most of you player Graal2002/Graal2001 and could care less about them. I like all the servers and I think what Unixmad is doing is abandoning the PWA, and the GMs. The council can do whatever they please and tell the GM what they want and he has to do it and if he does something wrong or something Unixmad doesn't like, he gets fired. I think that if this approach he will take, he must give us ALL incluiding Classic only upgraded accounts. =/

Don't think they would give it to Nemesis because he is already Classic GM. Koni, I agree with because he has opinions and doesn't go with the crowd, same with Kaimetsu. That just leaves 2 for stefan and unixmad to choose, and they can choose themselves X_X

Kai is already super mod, can he handle something else this big? I think it's best him being left out. Birdbird is a good choice in my opinion.

Even so, that was directed towards me. Just because I hate some people doesn't mean it'll affect my judgement if I obtained power. I have hated Googi for a long time, yet I have not done anything to get him fired. Duo just goes along with the bandwagon and thinks he is cool, king arthur tried to hack me several times and T3ck is an *******.

Valder, you got banned by unixmad for having '**** Graal....I quit' in your signature, I don't really think you are on his list of choices for a council member. I believe konidias should be one, Birdbird is a good choice too and Loriel aswell.

Kai is a mature person, and can probably.... no he can handle it... I put alot of trust with him... Well, thats my choice if I had to choose one. I still think its pointless seeing as how the GM should have this power like they always did so that we ALL can voice our opinions so that the GM can base the decision on them.

Brad and I are in agreement, fair, just people. I don't know Koni too well but I like what I've seen. Kai is EXTREMELY good, and Nemesis is godly.

BirdBird would have my support if he could ever communicate more maturely. Loriel and I made our peace so I think he's good BUT I do think he's a bit young.

I'd like to be on the list/poll type thing as well for a council member. :)

My choices are sorta small, Not alot of people I would personaly think of that would have all the neccacary qualitys to be in the counsle, I'm still undecided on my opinyons, but Kaimetsu is on my list. I might even say Torankusu and Loriel.

Doesn't matter if I get in or not, as long as there's communication between the players, staff, and administation. It makes graal go round, and releaves all the unwanted loopholes and problems. As long as the counsle is composed of people whith diverse and insightfull stances, then its all goooood.

If you knew how smart and serious bird can be than you'd think different. People are nominated for a reason, people obviously think their fit for the job.

Stefan, if you calmed down a bit, typed properly, and behaved like your PROFESSIONAL self more often honestly I think you'd make a great member, but can YOU control your spaztic times?

They need to set up a voting system by which people type in the exact accountname (case insensitive) of who they want on the council. And put this in the log-in required section of the website. If Thym gets a lot of votes, sucks to be me, but at least it'll allow people to write in candidates who are not among the fortunate 10 to get on the ballot.

Yes I can, and if Im mad upset or anthing that might effect me, I just don't go online, everyone has those days. I had one two days ago, just didnt go online till the night time ;p

Unixmad might do Gold memebers only, or everyone, if its everyone, I doubt we, as in the gold forum memebers, would know who they are (the ones who get the most votes) So its up to Unixmad and Stefan to choose witch players he wants to allow voice.

Isn't this for classic / playerworlds? I'd love to find out what playerworlds they play...I play all playerworlds, and obviously been around...The typical list are old 2k1 staff or current 2k1 staff or 2k1 players

I mean what about the staff of the other playerworlds, or players who play there...If they don't get it, then this council is incorrectly chosen, it should be those people who are on the council not those who arent' really apart of the "playerworld / classic" environment....

Anyhow thats how I believe it should be if there is a council chosen.....No offense to anyone just that those deserve it more than the list above...in my opinion

Then the purpose is voided...yet a good reason will be given for that decision...It must be accurate...my feelings and hopes is that unixmad pulls forth and makes a site for classic players/staff and playerworld staff/players...so they can log in and do some kind of vote

Otherwise restricting voting to the forums, excludes those who do not have p2p account, but then again I see no other way of doing so...but the council should include players of playerworlds with xxx amount of hours on that server, and should of held an administration spot on the server...

Then again I really don't know how it'll be done, I just know it'll be done unless people have valid reasons to dispute it as you have placed here...but the fate is in unixmad's hands..we should all wait for that ...

Everytime I go there, no one's there..should I stay and be lost and bored? not quite....

Everytime I look, keyword...when I look no one is on, so I don't visit and talk to the npc server...I go elsewhere typically...
