The Vermain Review: Exodus.
 

Levels - 4

Mostly every single level is covered in long grass, flower, stone, and mushroom tiles. And not the nice, dispersed, handmade stuff. There are big clumps of grass and mushrooms everywhere, and then just green grass inbetween that looks like it was made as a big clump and then right clicked into every level. Some of the levels hadn't even been tiled. There were several tile errors. There are 341 levels, but most of them are just "new#.nw" levels or test levels. Some of the levels were obscenely plain, most notably one that was lined with straight mine times and a desk with some guy standing there.

Graphics - 5

There's a tileset with a few altered tiles, and a couple vines and what I think are mudholes, but that's about it. Nothing really special or original.

NPC's - 5

There were few actual NPC's here, but most of them were just plain NPC's, such as an NPC that catches bushes and throws them into nothingness, then displays the number of bushes you brought him. There's also a "Sniper Rifle" which brings me to the question of what time period this is. The system is nice, but again, nothing special.

Quests - 0

I found several quest spots that had "This quest is being worked on playerworld team, please check back later" which leads me to believe this was attempting to get up as a private server.


Final Score: 4/10

Exodus's Status: Fail.

well first of all i sent u the wrong god damn Zip and second of all I put a .txt file in there Explaining all the names of the quest levels , and my levels arent just long grass...... i knew i should have left this to Torankusu i bet he didnt even read any of the **** i wrote in the .txt

OMFG lol

I looked at some of the quest levels. Zerg baddy rush quests with some block puzzles with some badly tiled mine levels honestly don't look good.

umm im sorry to tell you but only 1 of 5 quest has a room with baddies in it and thats 1 room You must not have looked hard enough and umm i just counted there are only 13 new.nw levels and they were put there by mistake

It might have looked bad if u used my Tileset ... cuz I was just making that for the hell of it not to be used because it messes up the tiles if u use it with those levels

The earth quest level was piled with baddies. I did the firequest one and it had little baddies but a few non-spectacular quests. And the wind quest had two baddy rooms.

And, really, CLIENTSIDE baddies? Those lag like crap online and really reduce the experience.

From what I remember from the quests, the wind one did have a baddie room, and it popped them up three times before it left.


The firequest is really annoying.

You can do it, you just need some good staff members. I could help you a bit if you like.. Just forum pm me. I can do levels, mods, graphics, and programming (not scripting)

I'm gonna see what I can do to help. I haven't gotten a chance to start reviewing the levels for Exodus and help fixing up whatever. Chronic I'm gonna be on aim for a little bit. If you can, send me the most updated zip file for the world.

Well you can't blame Vermain for that, he reviewed what he was given.

Then why did you put an NPC to set that tileset and send Vermain the tileset?

That's why they have more than 1 person review them now. To get a range of opinions among other things.

Ive played graal for the longest time and i guess its just getting boring who know i could be pissed off cuz i put alot of work onto that server and now it get some low ratings but i dont really care any more it wont ever get finished becuase i cant find any staff thats good enough and hell whos gonna wanna work on a Failing server any way?

Word of advice:

Your playerworld wouldn't fail if you didn't make a half-assed attempt at it. If you look over it yourself and it's nothing but badly tiled levels and baddy quests, I would think twice about sending it in.

And I can understand you were angry, but it's better to look over at your levels and realize that not everything is going to be perfect and will go over great the first time then telling me how much I suck.

Actually, I said this server had SLIGHT potential. then you were lazy and sat around so I quit. Fine quit graal over a PW LOL

MDG quest was a really good quest (on nplse)

Cronic, I love the overworld map that you showed me but it lacks detail. WHen I saw it I was like good progress but didnt think it was done. Just work on it somemore. Detail is very important :D.

Mmk, im the other owner of Exodus, im with you on on some of the levels badly detailed, take not some, and there are some good and bad npcs lol like my bush man who's screwed, me Cronic sheep and Green will be revamping the whole server, new bigger map better detailed levels, more good npcs and we'll use some of the old npcs (that were good) and some insides witch i dont think there are any good ones lol, and most of the gfxs plus im fixing the tileset aswell, ohh yeah probally a new website aswell, and Cronic aint quitting cause if he does ill fly over to his house and whoop his ass untill his **** is coming outta his mouth, and guys/gals take it easy on him x.x he's a nice guy and he's just a bit pissed off cause he put alota work into the server and he's been working on it for ages!, i started of as a lat lol :) and then owner :), ok thanks bye.
