The Zormite Reformation

I have *finally* changed the ranking system. We also plan on releasing a Zormite town (if anyone will make it) and more updates to the empire. Here are the new ranks etc. Dictatorship...teeheehee...

Dictator - The ruler of the entire Zormite empire. NOONE can go against what he says. If they do, they die.
General - The dictator's right hand man. He controls the army settings and takes orders directly from the dictator.
Strategist - The General's asst. He sets out plans for alliances, wars, and battles.
Crusader - A high ranked Pikeman. They are skilled in the arts of hand to hand combat and excel in use of the trident.
Pikeman - A common warrior in the Zormite army. They use the pike and trident and are quick and sly.
Scout - The Scout is a lowly warrior who travels in search of new lands. Their weapon of choice is the bow for long range combat.
Magi Warlord - The head of the battlemages. They are most powerful in water magic, but excel in others as well.
War Mage - The basic mage of Zormite. They have just mastered the arts of water magic and are masters of the sea.
Magi Apprentice - A student in training to be a part of the magi. They are often found reading or practicing spells.
Prophet - Prophets are normally found traveling about spreading the word of Lakorna, the Zormite religion.
Zorist - A Zormite priest. They are normally found curing the sick, or spreading the word of Kachee.
Imperial Worker - An experienced worker of the town. They are normally found doing hard labor or giving orders to workers. In charge of minor economics.
Collector - The collectors job is to collect tax payments, fines, and regulate the currency throughout the Zormite empire.
Worker - A common worker in the Zormite empire. They are worked hard labor and become strong over the years. Many become Pikeman for the army.
Peddler - Weaves clothes for the kingdom. They are also found making armor for warriors alike. Runs and Manages Marketing
Professor - The head of the sciences. They are by far the most intelligent Zormites and are nearly always found testing new spells, weapons, etc.
Scientist - The basic scientist. They aid the Professor and teach students the ways of the sciences.
Student - A student learning the processes of the sciences. They are normally found reading books or aiding scientists.
Imperial Guard - The leader of the guard squad. He commands where the guards go, and when.
Guard - A basic guard. They will watch over nearly anyone for a price.
Head Watchman - The head of the police force. They regulate all rules and set punishments.
Watchman - Watchmen watch over the towns of Zormite. They regulate rules and if needed, kill criminals.
Jail Guard - Watch over the prisons. They are the basic executioners.
Forza - The neo-military. They are the front lines in most battles and regulate the Zormite policies on everyone. They are the elite force of the Empire.
Minister - Ministers are a type of aid to the Empire to make sure it runs properly. There is the Economic, Foreign Affair, and Internal Affair Minister.
Economic Minister - In charge of managing Trade and Collection of resources
Foreign Affair Minister - In charge of Ambassadors and peace treaties. They can not sign the peace treaties though.
Internal Affair Minister - In charge of keeping the Police force up, making sure the Empire is working properly, in charge of minor development.

Ugh... Brad, please. Half of those ranks are extremly bad for the Zormite kingdom. It would've helped if you had even TALKED them over with some of the long-time members. Ick. Mega-bad. I'm tempted to edit your post, and make some changes, for some of the stuff you have there conflicts with Zormite history. ;(

NZO... New Zormite Order.
The simple Monarchist Reign over the Zormites have lead the Kingdom to crash...
Now the high authority now is bringing in a more... longer lasting... reign.

Not only have we made it more modern...

And about the discussing thing...

These ranks were discussed in a council of four or five Zormite members. The Dictatorship and Dictator was accepted by peers, and the layout of the ranking system and recruitment was set up.

It would help if any of these "old" long time members would come online and tell me this.

Noone said anything sir.

Zurkiba 06-27-2002 08:29 AM

NEW Ranks.

MILITARY RANKS:
General: There are a total of three Generals. Generals are in charge of maintaining and controlling the Imperial Army. Appointed by the Emperor
Zealot: A Zealot is a master pikeman who devoted his whole life for Emperor and Empire. They never give up and they fight till death
Pikeman: A Pikeman is regular soldier who fights with a pike
Scout: Young Zormites who just got out of boot camp are Scouts. They tend to run away when attacked alone
Recruit: A New member of the Army
Draftee: Someone who was Drafted into the military.

OTHER MILITARY RANKS:
Forza: The Special Forces of the Empire... they do the dirty work that a large army could not do.

GUARD RANKS:
Imperial Guard: The head Guards... they are the guards who protect the royality only
Guard: Stationed men who guard the Castle and township.

POLICE RANKS:
Chief Watchman: The head Watchman... maintainer of the peace.
Watchman: The basic Police Man who patrols the streets and slays criminals
Jail Guard: Guards the Jail and tends to the captives.

MAGIC RANKS:
Magi Warlord: The most powerful Mage... this person has had years and years of training and leads the Mages in battles.
War Mage: A person who uses magic in war
Apprentice: A Magic student... must have a War Mage master in order to advance in rank.

RELIGION RANKS:
Prophet: A person who can TALK with the gods of the Zormites. They can sense things to come in the future and they lead most Church services.
Zorist: A Zorist is a person who teaches the words of our gods.

SCIENCE RANKS:
Professor: Head of the Sciences and University
Scientist: Respected Teacher who spends his/her life researching new technologies for the Zormite Empire
Teacher: Someone who teaches at the University :D
Student: Someone who is training to be a Scientist and attends University classes.
CITIZEN RANKS:
Count: Counts are nobility who are the closest ranked to the royal family... if some reason the royal family is executed... the Count(s) would come into power.
Baron: Barons are Nobles who control Provinces and towns... They participate in wars.
Lord: Lords are simple noblemen with a few extra change in their pockets then most people have.
Foreign Minister: In charge of Ambassadors and peace treaties. They can not sign the peace treaties though.
Internal Minister: In charge of keeping the Police force up, making sure the Empire is working properly, in charge of minor development.
Economic Minister: In charge of managing Trade and Collection of resources. They are also in charge of making sure Tax Collectors do their job
Imperial Worker: Head Workers.... they manage the workers and do simple jobs such as Management, Bar keeping, Maiden
Tax Collector: Tax Collectors make sure EVERYONE has paid taxes... takes are at an all time low of 5g per Terran month.
Peddler: Peddlers are in charge of the Agoras which the Empire will get soon.
Worker: Workers collect resources and income for the Empire... rather they can donate the resources... or they can sell them to the Empire.

toad1413 06-29-2002 12:33 PM

My thoughts.

MILITARY RANKS:
General: There are a total of three Generals. Generals are in charge of maintaining and controlling the Imperial Army. Appointed by the Emperor. Yeah, that's fine, no probs with that.
Zealot: A Zealot is a master pikeman who devoted his whole life for Emperor and Empire. They never give up and they fight till death. Also fine. Not troubles with this one either.
Pikeman: A Pikeman is regular soldier who fights with a pike. Ditto.
Scout: Young Zormites who just got out of boot camp are Scouts. They tend to run away when attacked alone. They tend to run away when attacked alone? No. If they do, then they shouldn't be in the ****ing army in the first place.
Recruit: A New member of the Army. Hmm, it's ok.
Draftee: Someone who was Drafted into the military. Unneeded. It doesn't matter if they were drafted into the army or joined of their own free will. Draftees should be Recruits.

OTHER MILITARY RANKS:
Forza: The Special Forces of the Empire... they do the dirty work that a large army could not do. Hmm, kinda like specialists, assasins? Yeah, ok.

GUARD RANKS:
Imperial Guard: The head Guards... they are the guards who protect the royality only. Same rank as before these, just different name. I'm fine with it.
Guard: Stationed men who guard the Castle and township. Yeah, fine.

POLICE RANKS:
Chief Watchman: The head Watchman... maintainer of the peace. Unneeded. Guards are the equivilent of police. Have a head guard instead.
Watchman: The basic Police Man who patrols the streets and slays criminals. Uneeded. Guards. These are exactly the same, damnit.
Jail Guard: Guards the Jail and tends to the captives. Jail Guard, eh? Just proves that police are the same as bloody guards. UNNEEDED.

MAGIC RANKS:
Magi Warlord: The most powerful Mage... this person has had years and years of training and leads the Mages in battles. This is fine.
War Mage: A person who uses magic in war. Wouldn't most? And if there's a war mage rank, why not ranks for the other types of mages?? Do not do half of the damn thing. Either finish it off, or remove it.
Apprentice: A Magic student... must have a War Mage master in order to advance in rank. I's ok... could be better.

RELIGION RANKS:
Prophet: A person who can TALK with the gods of the Zormites. They can sense things to come in the future and they lead most Church services. HOLY ZORIST, DAMNIT. THESE ARE EXACLTY THE SAME. And Holy Zorist sounds so damn better.
Zorist: A Zorist is a person who teaches the words of our gods. Same as old rank, it's fine.

SCIENCE RANKS: Uh, shouldn't this be the ranks for Zormites learning ANYTHING? Not just Science? Like Literature, Zormite History, Negotiating, etc.
Professor: Head of the Sciences and University. Head of the whole ****ing University. Not just Sciences.
Scientist: Respected Teacher who spends his/her life researching new technologies for the Zormite Empire. Yeah, this is ok.
Teacher: Someone who teaches at the University.:D Yes, would work. You'd need specialists, for the different parts of the schooling though.
Student: Someone who is training to be a Scientist and attends University classes. Someone who is training to be a Scholar, not just damn Scientists.

CITIZEN RANKS:
Elders: (You aren't ****ing well getting rid of this rank.) The Elders Are old Zormites, who are well respected by the community. They are also the storytellers of the Zormites, for they remember the history of the Zormite the best, having lived it. They don't officially have power, but they can influence decisions a bit.
Count: Counts are nobility who are the closest ranked to the royal family... if some reason the royal family is executed... the Count(s) would come into power. Yeah, they're like the second-in-command to the Royal Family. That's fine.
Baron: Barons are Nobles who control Provinces and towns... They participate in wars. Yup, ok.
Lord: Lords are simple noblemen with a few extra change in their pockets then most people have. They are the upper-class Zormites, and usually own businesses, etc.
Foreign Minister: In charge of Ambassadors and peace treaties. They can not sign the peace treaties though. Think. To have this, you would have to have people be able to study other things than sciences in the Univerity. Duh. But yes, keep this.
Internal Minister: In charge of keeping the Police force up, making sure the Empire is working properly, in charge of minor development. No police force. [i]Guards. But yeah, this is fine too.[/b]
Economic Minister: In charge of managing Trade and Collection of resources. They are also in charge of making sure Tax Collectors do their job. In charge of Empire resources, yes.
Imperial Worker: Head Workers.... they manage the workers and do simple jobs such as Management, Bar keeping, Maiden. Why IMPERIAL worker? That makes it sound like they're peasants who work in the castle, for the Royal family. If so, change the description to fit it. Normal workers do those jobs too.
Tax Collector: Tax Collectors make sure EVERYONE has paid taxes... takes are at an all time low of 5g per Terran month. Unless you can make everyone pay a tax each month, this rank is useless. :\
Peddler: Peddlers are in charge of the Agoras which the Empire will get soon. [/b]Yeah, fine.[/b]
Worker: Workers collect resources and income for the Empire... rather they can donate the resources... or they can sell them to the Empire. Methinks they'd rather sell them to the Empire, instead of donating them. People are inherently greedy, remember that. Yeah, this rank is fine.

And that, is what I think about them. Some are good, others are total crap.

Thank you for your comments... And alot of those ranks are from Brad's Reign.

The Elder system was broken by Brad... but I guess I can bring it back.
Scouts are people who find and confirm enemy locations. If they are alone they can not fight an army... but when they are in a whole... they will fight.
Professor says.. Head of Sciences and University... which means they lead the University.

The Empire is changing a little because as you can see... It just didn't work out. Now we are more active then Dustari (KoS if you want to), The PC, and the Karakaze.
I will follow some of your advice. Thank you.

Brad 06-29-2002 10:01 PM

I get criticized on anything, so I don't do anything anymore. I'm just that guy.

gozen 06-29-2002 10:17 PM

Correction:
Zormite have more members, doesn't mean they have better members and roleplay well :p
I agree with THT though, if you have all those ranks, you should have a person to fill everyone.
The ministers remind me of Valikorlia :p
