About the Server switching
 

Like you all already know, tomorrow (on the 1th of may) all playerworlds and classic will be switched to the new p2p mode.
It's now possible to add playerworld staff easily by adding them tothe staff= line in the server options (will work when the servers are restarted).
But for some weeks the old staff accounts will still work.

Hurray. I'm still psyked about regular servers having light effects tomorrow! They can can't they?

Classic will own every server but 2k2 now once they get p2p abilitys!!!!

I have an RC in Enigma and WC said it'll be scrapped.... but a Gp has a player acct made RC and WC said he gets an RC. i outrank the GP BAH >.<

Oh yea....is it true that player acct RC's get to keep it?

Stefan, when new playerworlds come out that excel above even the standards of G2K2, or are equal or around, will it be made a normal PW, or will you make it in the P2P mode?

I'm curious, because PWs like Oasis will clearly be above the standards of a normal PW...and in many ways will be better then official servers.

if they are better than other servers, it gives them more of a reason to be p2p.....
so the undecided players will have better reason to go pay

All RC accounts will be setup in the servers options as well as the Staff accounts , like so
rc=Moon God, Moon Goddess
staff=Moon God, Moon Goddess

What I don't know is if we will have a limit to how many RC's we will be able to have..
The rights will be done as they always have been...

Could be , just when I talked to Stefan on Npulse (on RC) he didn't mention that, only that the RC would be put in that way , not saying your wrong , I will just have to test it out tomorrow... Both ways.

On Providence, "staff=" enables an RC for the listed accounts.

This will probably be a really good thing for Graal.

I want to put up my own "Bomberman Look-Alike" arena online so people can play with me. Much funs :D

Will these PWs which could be as good as G2K2, using the same features and eveerything, be FORCED to be p2p, or will they be a normal PW.

I figure it would take away from the P2P if a better playerworld then G2K2 was made non-p2p, so I think the answer is obvious...but really, is it?

First you will have to make the playerworld so good, then we can look further :) Currently we don't plan that.

I would get a NPC-Server for Mithica, but alot of people I know that script well, don't know how to script clientside... so =/

What I am a little anoyed is that I have to pay to work on my own server =\ And some of my staff didnt pay so they can't go on, even if i put them on the staff list.

As far as I can tell, staff accs go in the server options, in the "staff=" part, for example:

staff=Baraka Khan,somestaffguy,otherstaffguy,evenmorestaffguy

It works fine for me ;)

btw, CyberX, I think every playerworld owner would request npcserver, I certainly would!

Oh yes, for testing purposes all playerworld should add "staff=grim_squeaker_x", if they don't I'll annoy them :P

LOL, but the new staff= means we can have like unlimited staff! Heh, so now we don't have to worry about stuff, someone gets fired, edit server options, done. No more limitations on the limit...
