Choose here, this is unofficial, I just want to see what people think.

SSmutz 05-12-2001 12:04 PM

You said you resigned.

omni-m00gle 05-12-2001 12:04 PM

Ryan.

activeconvict 05-12-2001 12:05 PM

Yes I did, I just want to see who the 'people' want, this is just for fun.

05-12-2001 12:12 PM

FAQ should be deleted all together. It's the worst idea ever

Psyker 05-12-2001 12:13 PM

Ryan.

SSmutz 05-12-2001 12:13 PM

Cactus with Samurai is the worst idea ever, IMO.

ReBBisH 05-12-2001 12:13 PM

No

FAQ is good for newbies.

Valder 05-12-2001 12:14 PM

me

psihunter 05-12-2001 12:14 PM

Why do we need FAQ in the first place?
just post the stuff people ask or want to know on the graal website? or post questions on a FAQ forum here?

Really? How? So they can tell them exactly how to play the game? Wow, that's really intelligent. Takes the fun out of the game and lets stupider people play!

They were an offering from the cowboy kingdom because we let them stay in our castle.

Ryan has actually been staff just as long as I have as far as I know and has good experience. It's one of the reason's he was hired. I'm not hiring newbies.

Because not everyone likes to use forums and some don't knwo about the forums.

ReBBisH 05-12-2001 12:17 PM

He's new to FAQ. I have more experience as a FAQ.

What Cowboy kingdom? Aand what's with all these damn kingdoms in the first place. There should only be 3 of them.

The cowboy kingdom is a small sub-kingdom like pirates.

So you would rather let stupid people run around the server, instead of lettting us show them how to play?

greezi 05-12-2001 12:18 PM

i cant wait to see the samurai castle when its finishedq

Seriously, how can you need someone to tell you how to play a game like Graal?
FAQ just makes it so the player doesn't learn on his own.

You don't need FAQ experience. You just need to know alot about the server and you need to be polite to players. (Not to mention, good grammar)

Not to mention, spelling "a lot" correctly. I'm sorry, but when someone says something about correct grammar but says "alot," I can't help it.

It's not just newbies, we also solve problems with glitches and things that players have trouble with. Like some players today were having trouble diving because they didn't know that 2.03 was out and hadn't downlaoded it yet.

YOU DON'T NEED STAFF TO DO THAT

ReBBisH 05-12-2001 12:22 PM

I guarantee you SSmutz, I have the best grammar out all of your choices. ;) FAQ can be a lot of work yet, I try not to tell him exactly what to do, just encourage the "Learn on your Own" concept and help out here and there with the small things.

I'm not talking about perfect gramamar, I mean, good enough to where people can understand you.

05-12-2001 12:24 PM

It says the new version is out on graal2001.com anyway. People should check that periodically.

Valder 05-12-2001 12:24 PM

go me :(
oh well, even if i don't get it i beleive SSmutz will make the right decision

So if you have trouble, your just gonna sit on your ass and hope someone will come along and tell you what to do? No, you ask someone for help, and that's what FAQ is for.

activeconvict 05-12-2001 12:25 PM

THT, I learned the error for 'alot' in 2nd grade, but it's a common mistake for most people, really intelligent people even spell it 'alot'.

Yes, they should, but theres no rule that makes them do it, and not everyone does.

P O W E R H U N G R Y
They can toall and ask for help. They can mass and ask for help. They can ask a friend. They can ask a guild like newbie helper. FAQ is unnecessary and does bad.

activeconvict 05-12-2001 12:28 PM

Well, I agree with SSMutz, I'd rather have a bunch of people that know more about the server, than a whole bunch of 'idiots' running around. I'm not saying the exact coordinations of where places are, I give them little clues and hints. Because sometimes in RPGs, I get stumped. =(

Newbie Helpers are FAQ Cadets.

05-12-2001 12:29 PM

Sorry, but anyone who can't figure graal out on their own is a few boards short of a fence...

FAQ isn't as bad as it seems TrueHeaT, I don't try to give out a lot of information, like exact locations, like I said before I give them hints and clues, and let them figure it out. I don't know if any of the other FAQs do that....

Yes, I'm sure you everything when you started graal...
[/sarcasm]

05-12-2001 12:33 PM

No, I didn't start the game knowing everything about it, but I LEARNED by practice and by playing, not by having some guy tell me how to do everything
