Avadon. A myth, or reality?
 

Alright everyone, Birdbird_0 finaly fixed my account so I can now post! (Thanks Birdbird_0! :D).

Back a while ago, I had an idea to create a Kingdom on Rudora, a server I really like becaues of the people there, I've been obsessing on "Avadon" ever since. It's not at the point where it's turning out beter then I could ever hope for. I'm surprising myself with the levels I'm spiting out at 2:00am living on cafine!

Lately, my friends I've talked to all say that I should make this a playerworld of it's own. I was weary at first, but seeing whats out there I think I can actualy make something that alot of people will enjoy.

Let me know what you think of how these look! Keep in mind that currently, my graphics card doesn't work with Graal's lighting effects, so I havent added any, but If I do get a chance to make Avadon a playerworld, I'll be making it p2p and have lighting effects, and all that :D so it just might look a bit beter :)

Also let me know any sugestions you may have.

For the actual playerworld this is what I'd like for Avadon:

• Avadon will be a Pay Server.
• Avadon has/will have a massive story line with many NPC's that act as guides to help players complete quests as they come out without too much questioning needed. A bit more like a real RPG
• Avadon will most likely have roles, Mage, Wizard, Knight, Shaman, etc.
• While Avadon will have Job's, and money will actualy be worth something. Jobs will not be as tedious and tireing as on graal 2001, spending 5 hours working to break even is unacceptable.
• Avadon will be a Non-Pk Role playing server, meaning if you PK alot, and it's not in carector, your punished. People will need to make sure the people they PK like being PKed first, and alot of the server will be filled with nopkzones.
• In order to make gameplay fun for everyone, a code of conduct will be set and strictly enforced. Staff on this server will be subject to the same behavior, if not more strict, as players.
• Avadon's storyline will be constantly evolving, the quests for each role will be difrent, New players will be given an NPC when they start to do what they please with it, (these NPC's will change every week or so, and will be very valueable, hopefully people will be nicer to newbies and want to buy these npc's from them ;))

Anyway, there's more, but I wont ramble on ;) Please let me know what you all think. And if stefan or someone I contact to get this going is out there, please let me know if you think I have a shot at geting this to be a playerworld! :)

LOL. I'm at a point now where I need to know from Graal if it will become a playerworld or if I'll just be able to make it a Kingdom on Rudora, if it goes on Rudora I can't use p2p, and I need to write the entire world difrently. I really hope I can reach Stefan about it. Like the screenshots?

Yes it is and Carra dont get to obsesed you think your it now you ahve FTP and your NOT so crap off also Carra no 1 can use FTP now and i will also do all i can to make sure Rudora is the best and is a kingdom brings in the costemers i will Support Urizen also I tihnk co-owners shudnt get FTP cos of what happneed since SOME 1 *Cough* *Cough* got FTP.

Did I say it was my decision? No. And Spark, maybe I could spend time to decipher what that gibberish you said was, but I doubt it will be worth while, so I will not even bother. Of course it is Fox's decision, but is he ever on? :(

We disagree about certain things, you accusing me of being power hungry staff on Rudora without justification says alot. Consider this:

1.) I never asked to be Staff on Rudora
2.) Yesterday I offered to resign because you obviously have a problem with me.
3.) Because you are a decent LAT I've always tried to make you feel welcome on Rudora, from when you first came on. I've over-looked you using your staff tools and RC to PK players, I've overlooked the dozens of complaints, because you are a good LAT. But when you trun around and call me greedy, arrogant, and disrespctful because I will not bow before your power, because I am re-inforcing what I belive Fox, the owner wants, I tend to become irritated by closed-minded hypocritical thinking. If you have a problem with me why dont you just confront me about it on Rudora instead of trying to bring down a project that you'll never be a part of.

Sorry for all this people. I hate it when people take Graal for more then a game and start getting all power-hungry. :confused:

How much work should I have done before having it tested? I don't want to go and spend a month finishing everything then having it rejected :(

Is it enough to have the main terrain of the world done, with a few quests and buildings?

Not sure. It needs to have insides to alot of the buildings/houses,
some nice quests for the players to start with if you want to develope and test the quests online, nice (detailed) levels. Well, you get the picture, right? Around 70-80% complete in some cases.

You are completely insane, If you knew me in the least, you would know that I would NEVER, EVER use RC or Staff tools to PK anyone. Ask any person, I would never do that, I believe the only right way to PK someone is with just a sword. NPCs? For lamers, but what in your twisted little mind makes you think that I would use staff npcs to PK? And you obviously know nothing of my guild if you think that I would do that, because I would immediately be removed from it...And I never asked you to bow before my "power", you just got pissed because I gave my opinion by saying that I think there is no need for staff npcs, or npcs at all for that matter. I'm not trying to bring down your project, I'm just saying that I do not think kingdoms would be good on rudora. But, by stating my opinions, you turn completely psycho, and I am the bad one. Kelly would never ever use her RC to PK, you're just pulling that out of your ass to get her fired/punished etc.
Just because she is staff doesn't mean she can't PK on her player account. And if ppl complain about her pking oh well,Other staff members PK also they are players too, they don't have to be on the administration side of things all the time. And "Fox the owner wants" well he likes all the approvements kelly has added, she's doing a swell job of improving the server. :)

:rolleyes: Why you people keep going on with this is beyond me... Was the title of this thread "The Avadon Project and Why Carra is stupid"? I don't recal making any comments about her before she felt obligated to pop her head into this, it's all really quite annoying for people reading this thread. As I said before, I was Attempting to make her feel welcome on Rudora because ALOT of players were massing that her work sucked and the server was going to hell with her as co-owner, I was trying to chear her up... to try and use this against me is pretty low, but I don't care. I'll end this right now by saying Carra is right, has always been right, and will always be right. And I guess saying "update level" to unpause players then PK them doesn't count as using your staff abilities to PK. Sorry. :confused: it's obviously what you want right? me to say that I'm a ***** and she's right? It's times like this I wonder why I still even bother playing graal with people who have the mindset of a 9 year-old.

Please, let it die. I know what I heard, I know what I saw. I was angry with Carra because she accused me of being greedy and arrogant. So I used an NPC that wasn't avaible to players, it was given to me by an RC who is a friend of mine, I was using it to get her attention because she was paused in the last level of a quest making any player trying to do the quest be put into the waiting room for the quest. Weather or not she ment what I understood is irrelivent now because of the manner in witch she chose to carry this out. When she said "No. You can't have that." and "There's no reason for you to have any NPC's. There's no reason for FAQ to have NPC's. They are unnessairy" would you understand it as "Hmmm.. Does FAQ really need staff tool to do their job? Oh.. and I don't think any staff should have weapons that players can't get" witch is what she's been telling everyone she said, or does it sound more like "Umm. I don't want you to have that. So I'll take them away." The reason I got angry with her is because she was saying that she was going to remove things from staff not understanding what staff go through. Going on to act like a child and not explain herself when asked to just made me more irritated. So if I don't seem to be as nice to you? oh well. not my fault. But don't even try to make it sound like I'm the irriational one, or the one making accusations here when I've seen with my own eyes.

Please quit talking about this here. This is it. End of Story. If you want to reply to have the last word, do it. I wont reply back. I'm ending this now. It's stupid, pointless, and has NO RELEVENCE what so ever to this Thread. :mad:

He doesnt do that and its not stealing anyway its only stealing if its yours and i belive people dont copyright levles until there online (Cept proper good LATs that work for Cybejouer)

Ever notice Graal looks alot like Zelda? I think Stefan mighta "stole" the game. Just because I use the same NPC graphic you used on your playerhouse on Rudora doens't make me a criminal, last time I checked Cyberjourer owned the Copyrights on anything dealing with Graal. :rolleyes:

Hmm. I just found out that I need to be on a p2p server to use those graphics... Oh well! :D Guess it wont be going on Rudora after all.

no ****! those are g2k1 gfx. levels are ok for non-p2p but p2p i dont think so.....also stefan doesnt check on pw's....why does everything that has not had a p2p account or ever used one think that? there is a playerworld administration team for crying out loud....Stefan must get about 30 emails a week containing pw's from non-p2p'ers.

1. Those levels are a tad ordinary. Try using a different tiling technique, hmm?

2. You say you wanted to create a 'jungle' type of feel and theme? Create your own tileset, it'll help LOTS. Oh, and don't use images from 2k1.
