Advertisement Bulletin Board
 

I haven't really thought about how this would work but it would go something along these lines:

Their is a bulletin board at Unstick Me that players could use to advertise what they are selling. Obviously their will rules that will prevent players from spamming it and posting bull**** on it.

Then when a player is offline, other players could post their offers in a response section so that the merchant can read them as they log on.

This way, players from all different time zones can merch with eachother. And people don't have to spam the mass messages with what they're buying and selling for weeks.

Seems like a good idea.
Could put a little price to post your message on the board for X time.
Be sweet if it was a GUI and it opened up to be a legit bulletin board, then you click on the different messages.

Saw something similar on a different game, forget which though.

I do like the idea, It could be possible to create a drag and drop GUI so players can only put items up that they actually have and limit their options to offer or amount settings.

Like a Mall but in Gui form? I was at first looking at it as all text, like you type what your selling. But I can see you dragging in the item your selling, then, the buyers could drag in what they would trade, and at the end of the day you accept the offer you like best or something alone those lines.

Well, I don't think it should be like the mall. I could see a lot of glitches occurring from that (items disappearing, ect). It would simply act as a mass message that stays there when you're offline. The drag and drop is just my way of preventing false items from being added or players just spamming.

I like the idea of drag / drop... lol

u guys always talk about "mall glitches" but before i quit the mall had been working for like an year or so and there had not been any major problems..some noob staff member broke it prolly
anyways, great idea except the "dragging item" part, unless u would still be able to use the item while ur selling it

Well yeah, of course you'll still get to keep the item, it's just how you add the items to the advertisement board..
I'll make this after I finish with the Halloween event.

The mall was AWESOME when it came out. Whatever the hell happened to it?

Here's what I've got done so far, I've updated it to use an SQL DB.
I added some moderation tools for staff, if there's any spam (something unnecessary), you'll be banned from using it.
If you're banned, you can still view what other people are selling. I'm also going to add a search feature (accounts, items, ect).
When you push "Let's Advertise!", you'll be added to the list of accounts and from there you can add or remove items (this parts not fully completed).

Here's tonight's progress:
-Made the SQL sort my information (alphabetical order).
-The button Let's Advertise! button actually does something now.
-You can now add items (before I had to manually enter them).
-Can't add an item if it already exists, lol.
-Can't advertise if there's nothing to advertise, again lol.

Things left to do:
-Remove advertisements.
-Edit Advertisements.
