To Stefan: graal and the war
 

Stefan, I was just wondering if you could/are going to put up a monument on g2k1 representing those who died in the tragic terrorist attack that happened Tuesday. Maybe a waving american flag (if no one has any objections) or a little statue or something.

A sign anywhere like in top of admin house by guild tag maker wouldn't hurt

i will make one i really wanted to have one on the server cause this is a big and tragic thing, a memorial would be somthing nice.

That's a good idea, but make a nice sized americal flag and if anyone from any other countries wants to make a smaller flag from their country as a sign of mourning or peace then they should and they should be placed around the memorial, but they must actually live in the country, not just make a flag because you think you will be cool if you do it.

I think this is a bad idea. We don't need this everywhere, it's just an empty gesture. Forgive my opinion.

i understand what your saying to an extent. a lot of people care and showing compassion towards the many lost lives during this tragedy. i'd like to as much as i can and if the best i can do is support a monument for an online game, then so be it...

do i really need a reason to care? bah...

I don't think its a good idea beacause alot of players including stefan (from what I here) arent even in america so they dont give a hoot (I know it sad but Ive seen people say that at Classic and Graal2001 before my password was screwed) So what would none american players see a US flag? If you put up any flags you should put up well assorment of Nation flags (I think this is the most resonable thing Ive ever said on fourms)

Well, alot of nations do feel for the US right now. Especially members of NATO. So most people in other countries would, at the very least, understand the purpose and know why it was there.

I think people are pointing to many fingers I mean we have NO idea who did this someone in the US knows some orginzation they are just not relesing it for saftey purposes. ANd yes ZanderX alot of countries feel for us but alot of countries are celebrating so It is not a good idea to put up the US flag I personaly think there should be 1 seprate building put in the empty space next to the Trade Building that should be stocked with diffrent flags showing that we care for every country may god Bless america, May god bless the world

Yeah, you have a few good points, Gohan. But most of the countries celebrating are the Arab nations. I'm not sure, but I don't think Graal has that much patronage from direct residents of places like Palestine...

Graal has players from all over the world Ive acttully seen a few people from Iraq and Afganstan so they could be threatend somehow and we wouldnt wanna get anyone angry America already has enough problems

So let me say agian For 2 reasons Stefan should create a building full of world flags And I just got a new idea you should be able to carry a flag of your country or be able to pick up all the flags... That would be a neat NPC but alot of work...

It would be nice if we had a banner or something on top of the admin house that said something like "in memorial for those who died the Blah Blah Blah". No US flag is needed. Just something like that. Or a statue or something. Can we all just reply to this and say OK? I would really think that would be nice if we had that. THis is one of the worst things that has ever happened. Probably one of the worst things I will ever see in my whole lifetime.
