Don't be so sure, they get content for their game for free. Hell not even free, since people pay to develop on graal.

But of course this goes unnoticed and unappreciated.

just wondering, what are you looking for really? i'd made a small little logo that nobody really commented on and Cythus made a beutiful bigger logo, but I think a lot of people are still cloudy around what exactly you're looking for. Do you want a small, artsy thing that would be like stamp sized that shows the theme of graal online or what?

Just something really simple I put together.
Text and copied-heads from heads folder.
I only had about 10 minutes to make it cuz I started it a little bit before im posting this and I gtg really soon, so nothing big.

Should be Newbie, Stefan head then RC head :P
Maybe a slogan like "Play, Develop, Design, Create" or so. (Like the order most graalian's take)

I doubt too many people, initially, are interested in anything more than PLAY. Adding the other words detracts from the fact it's a game. Sure, once you're here and playing finding out you can make your own version of what you play is pretty neat, but you aren't going to get too many new players through anything other than promoting PLAY.

What's the prize ?

The main difference in this comparison is that hundreds if not thousands of players have attempted to create content for Graal, while only about a dozen or so have succeeded. Also keep in mind that those who did succeeded, did so due to a team of dozens, not a single individual with exceptional talent or skill. Moreover, these 'successful' projects have been spread sporadically throughout the past decade.

It's simple things like that Graal needs

Just take the head Stefan wears and make it look nice with shading and stuff...

That's not my decision. I can only award Graal-world-based prizes like items, statues, levels, etc and that's only through collaboration with said server.

If you make one or two levels in a house, and it's on a server, that's still contributing. I don't think just because Zolworld was never created means that Zol's pub was any less of a contribution.

It can win the competition, if it must. But as far as logos go, it really can't be used. Look at the top right logo on this forum, it should at least be of equal quality as that. But, as said, it wont happen here/for free.

So, do you want a LOGO or a WORDMARK?

An example of a WORDMARK is the current "Graal" whereas an example of a LOGO is like the AOL logo you mentioned.

Edit: Okay here's my actual logo, not banner. This one took a lot of planning :p:p:p:p:p [/sarcasm] it has a G and an O, then spelled out "Graal Online". The best part about it: It's green :D ;)

Excellent example Elk! In fact, probably the best submission so far. It doesn't seem quite meaty enough to me though, anybody else want to suggest anything to improve it?

We would make the most use of a wordmark on the site, but if we stumble across a replacement for the Graal-head that's worth a prize too. If you want to submit a logo or a wordmark, or both, a prize (or two) will be awarded for anything we decide to use.
