Just tell me if you can charge or if you just rapidly slash. :])

as this is a old bug, it's not that surprising that i slash rapidly instead of charging, however, i believe you can fix this by using GraalControl.onKeyDown() but im not sure as i am at school at the moment and can't try this.

i'm also going to test this with V6beta (thought there's linux version missing compared to windows) when i get home.

Yes I am using GraalControl.onKeyDown(), just something Stefan needs to fix. :/ Thank you anyways.

MattKan 12-06-2010 01:45 AM

Help me! I'm stuck in this:

Minor Spoiler Alert:

I've gotten to the desert temple, and have just obtained the compass. What do I do next? I'm stuck. Is this the current end?

Thanks

MrOmega 12-06-2010 03:08 AM

I'm currently working on this issue, making save slots to where you can load from previous save points, my apologies. If I'm online let me know and I'll fix ya, otherwise you can delete your character to restart. Again, sorry.

Fulg0reSama 12-06-2010 03:08 AM

Has the effect been fixed?

MrOmega 12-06-2010 04:10 PM

I've worked on it some, but tell me what you think needs done to it.

Sorry for being so late on replying to the tile suggestions and fixes. Here is a few I can think of off the top of my head.

Oh and I like those sand tiles, could you expand on them a bit though? Make them so they don't go the same direction, and maybe a few detail pieces for them?

MrOmega 12-07-2010 07:07 AM

I'll re-add those shaded dark sand tiles, I'll add tiles for the cliffs, and work on some more tiles tomorrow. I'll email you the updated tiles.

maximus_asinus 12-07-2010 05:16 PM

Thank you, much appreciated.

Seasons have come to Varia. With the new time system I went ahead added seasons along the weather system. I'm going off a basic season model ( Winter has 89 days, Spring and Summer have 93 Days, and Autumn has 90 days) This whole system is automated, meaning the tileset/NPCs will change with the season. I plan on incorporating certain quests/NPC that can only be accessed during a season. (Such as you access a town cause of a wide river, but in winter the river freezes allowing you too pass) They're are 8 Varia days in a real world Day.

This tileset is not the final winter tileset just something recolored in like 10 mins. Will work on it later.

maximus_asinus 12-07-2010 07:37 PM

you had some nice snow/cloud tiles in what you gave me, hopefully you'll continue with something similar. Most snow tilesets I see usually give the feeling that the snow is compacted and not light and fluffy like it should be. And I know you have different effects for terrain types, hope to see deep snow that effects your movement and gives the appearance that you're wading through it.

Are these the tiles you are wanting? (The opaque ones)

Sort of, more like this though (minus my sloppy mspaint edit). Basically it removes the border on the one side so I can connect and fill however I like.

EDIT: nevermind my post, misread yours. That is exactly what I want.

Ok fixing tileset will email you it here in a bit

just a heads up, when you created those beach tiles you messed up on the transparency in them and now there are little while lines on some of the beach tiles.

also would have been better if you made those dark sand beach tiles separate from the water borders like they were in the original pics1.png

I have these laying around from my project. Not really a hard thing to edit but recycling is good!

You broke more tiles and removed some of the stuff you fixed AND the transparency issues with some beach tiles are still there. I seen some tiles that were dark brown with transparency and I thought they were the dark sand tiles I requested but the color is wrong.

Here is Dusty's old tileset, maybe you can snag a few tiles from here. They are great to work with, still wish he'd expand on them.

Well, I was with family for the past few days and when I came back, it seemed Varia had been attacked. I'm not sure but a few weird things happened. Luckily the security I use didn't do any real damage and I uploaded a backup I made. Everything is back to normal. I just need TSAdmin or a PWA for help on a few more things. My apologies. Current;y Varia is listed under Dev MrOmega.

fowlplay4 12-14-2010 06:19 PM

Attacked by what?

nullify 12-15-2010 02:06 PM

Y2k.

MrOmega 12-15-2010 03:42 PM

It seems the account DB was down and my server was reset due to that. Everything is back to normal now. Enjoy Varia! :]

MrOmega 12-18-2010 11:24 PM

Dungeon 2 should be released around New Years, a few new things have been done. The biggest thing is the new baddie system, I have tried to incorporate a decent AI system. Such as if you attack another baddie new it will notice and begin attacking, throwing arrows/stones/quantums by them they notice and go to "check" to see what caused the disturbance, and so forth, its still in beta so current baddies have the old baddie system.

Matt 12-18-2010 11:54 PM

Hope it's good, can't wait to see it. :)

Deas_Voice 12-19-2010 12:28 AM

in-case you didn't see my pm,
Quote:

some ideas for your slot gui;

only show name and how the char looks like,
have a button or something that says "stats" on, u select the slot, click "stats", a window pops up and tells you hp/mp/xp/etc.

also i'm wondering how you create a new slot, as i saw that, u can save in a spefic slot when u click P
also, you should leave your client on, not RC, because on client, you will see "offline" pms, on RC you would have to go thu your pm folder and sort it by last updated to see if someone pmed you :\

xXziroXx 01-10-2011 08:55 AM

So where'd Varia go?

MrOmega 01-11-2011 12:44 AM

Re-doing a bunch of stuff for better game play. Varia will be renamed eventually and some core content is being changed. The reason for all this is I figured out a game algorythm that includes the whole MMO feel inside a Zelda-Sandbox theme. Which this called for some deep core system changes/updates.
