As for the name, my first nick on Classic was HÊLL§ ßŧtÅrÐ {Leader}(Dark_Legions) this was before I really took the time to read the rules, something I think a lot of us do when we first start. I took the name Moon God because Moon Goddess already had the name Moon Goddess and it seemed to be the most logical thing I saw to do since she is my wife. Plus I wanted to have a nick that related to hers. So why do you seem to find this offensive? I also have a fondness for Greek mythology, I find this nick much more preferable that my original one.

That 3d thing is currently IMPOSSIBLE. Whoever that guy is took it from somewhere else, or use the new graal3d engine. Using script, hover, is not possible, as 1) showpoly does not support laying texture on it, 2) if used showimg, you would get a bluescreen near instantly...

No one believe him, because that is not possible with the current public graal engine.

Yeah that's so totally not possible with Graal's current scripting. It's an obvious copy and paste job. That would be like taking a snapshot of mario64 and putting a graal guy in it. :D

Although that kind of 3D game is the kind I'd prefer over a FPS.

those images are neat, but as it has been said, that is not possible with the current public version of Graal. I do think it would be nice to see a PW sort of like that, however :)

take a look at a pattern.....
UN - Has desgusting things in it, hoe*s slu*ts, and the management doesnt enforce the rules, you know why? because players like doing whatever they want
Era - guns? gangs? mafia? swords? people are already shooting up schools, im not saying everyone who plays era is gonna get in trouble, but i was shutdown once for having the world "SL*UT" in a sign. you know why? because i was told "some young people play the game, and we dont wnt to influence them badly" how well are players being influenced with guns, gangs, violence like this? or having ho*es like that, or signs taht say 'YO SLU'T' is that good?
Valkorlia - doesnt have ANY rules, but will eat your head off if you dont have an 'rp name'

as the game grows, more people notice it, and if a rating board gets ahold of it, im sure itll get a Mature rating (which is possible for online games) and will require parental concent for anyone under 16 to play. graal DOESNT want that because 75% of their player income comes from little kids and their allowance.

There's just as much potential to be creative and original using the default tileset, you're just not looking hard enough. Those that use different graphics perhaps want thier world to have a different feel and appearance aside from going outside the norm. Did you ever consider that? As for an ESRB rating. Graal itself is capable of anything but would most likely wind up with either E or T (probably T more than anything). What should be done is to directly give ESRB ratings to each individual PW. Just because people can spew out vulgarities and such does not automattically equal and M from ESRB. Heck, look at TheSimsOnline or Phantasy Star Online. Both are rated T, but anyone can go on and swear up and down. Its up to the administration to enforce a rule concerning swearing or not. The game is rated based upon the contents of the game such as violence or themes. Besides, its not like kids don't play games like Halo, GTA, or Mortal Kombat. Those games have blood, gore, swearing, etc. Graal is about violence anyway. Every server that has swords falls in the catagory. ONO! Classic has people running around hitting each other with swords, lets put a stop to this violence so we don't influence the children :rolleyes:

As for having good staff, things will still take long. Its possible to go through many different builds of a script or different level designs and styles before one is found appropriate and efficient and so forth. This is why commercial games can take upto 4+ years to complete. Mostly because the final product is the final product when concerning console games. Even though you can make fixes and such for PC games, its best to do what you can do right before releasing it publicly. Its probably a very painful task to make patches for software sometimes and sometimes its just simple updates and improvements that didn't quite make it to the deadline or that are being saved for other purposes.

Playerworlds are about being creative. When you put on restrictions that are likened to a vice, you're just restricting that creativity. This is not to say that I approve of playerworlds that have nudity or assorted obscenities. That's just being disgusting, not creative. If someone can make a playerworld that although its small yet is fun, exciting, new, and unique, why penalize them? You're wanthing playerworlds to be more diverse, correct? Well then a server like this fits the bill granted that it may not have achieved a certain standard. I think Era has a rather small overworld, but it got up. Despite what players do on it, I still think its original, fun, unique, and new. Again, you're focusing on quantity and not quality. This isn't a contest to see who can make the biggest overworld or who has the most new stuff. Although having more new than not is a plus, it shouldn't be a total detriment to the playerworld so long as the quality of it meets a certain level. When you focus on quantity rather than quality, you'll get more crap than not.

Era scripted their stuff offline? Yeah they did, then it went online, and got reset a week later because of bugs in their online bank. :rolleyes: I have great staff, but I have 2 staff. Me and Falados (at the moment). So of course it's going to take longer than a team of 20. Era is nice for 15 minutes, then it becomes repetitive and loses all replay value. I probably have less than an hour logged there because I went through everything there was to do in 20 minutes and I'd rather not join a gang so I can work in a sweatshop and make guns and ammo for a bunch of kids that will go around and kill girls with them as they call them sl*ts.

Um, did you know that most internet plans you pay by the month not the minute? Most consumers buy the unlimited access which means if they are on 24/7, they're aren't gonna take a hit for it. If you're paying by the hour or something, you're getting seriously screwed!

I have a suggestion. You seem to be a graal player. This means, you play what we develope. With this said...you shouldn't post here because stupidity like that is said.

Well anyway, one thing you don't have correct. Oasis was not around 2 years ago...not even 1 year ago. I believe 7 months ago was when it began...no I am not keeping track, I just have a good memory. 7 months is...5 months lower then 1 year. Thats almost half of one year, meaning you are way off...so I would take my above advice.

Oasis is already online...hmm...already has months of work into...hmm...a few staff...why doesn't konidias just abandon all his work?! Sounds like a good idea to me! <sarcasm>.
