This situation was explain on the forums to PoJo for everyone to read. He clearly has nothing but malicious intent. If you have a problem with how I have reacted please direct your attention privately. |
I'm with PoJo when it comes to Maroku, and I don't care if he does stuff now or not, since most of the time I see him behave like either an ass, or being completely ignorant to everyone except those he might consider a friend.

On classic worlds a talented, but not too skilled developer can get a job because there are other people to train him - I doubt that the gk team can invest that amount of time. Further, developing for gk is quite difficult. Its a whole different way to create levels, the coding is probaply quite hard and special, ganis and graphics are very good and complex - it's not like opening your editor and hacking some levels together for UN. |
I have to disagree with everyone who's against maroku. I mean he's no Sam but he still busted his ass to make sure we had our items and that we were hosting. Hell he would work with me on the bigger events I was doing too.
He's trying his best and the only thing that you can do is berate him. That tells you the type of mentality you have. Actually from experience I can tell you that there are always a group of people who don't like staff and will berate them at any chance they get. If it were me I would be happy that he's making more content for the server. He doesn't need this **** as he is doing this voluntarily and doesn't need to impress you people at all. If he was getting paid by cyberjourers to do the job then I could see the berating being founded but until then lay off of him. |

Maroku does alot for GK we are lucky to have him working on new events/other things for GK, he is also a very active hoster when he is not busy creating a new event. I really do not understand all the strong views against him when he dedicates as much time as he does to improving the game.

@All: just be happy that he's making stuff for events. if he didn't care he wouldn't be busting his ass to get these done. |

I'd be more then willing to help so he doesn't have to "bust his ass", but like Ziro said he's a jerk to whoever is not his "friends". |
Quote:
Then don't like him. Thats up to you. At least awknowledge that he's doing work on events like you already have. |

P.S. Nothing against Maroku. Good guy. |

He learned how to script so he can help make events in the future and is still learning. He scripted a lot of his most recent event. |
Just remember guys most of the people who do the scripting for GK and host events don't get paid, which means it may not be their highest priority to work on graal. They may have to work to pay for essentials.
Just thank them for giving up their time to help the server, since they don't get paid for it, they do this for your enjoyment |
@Pat: Aww you big softy lol
@MiniOne: Well GK is like Zone in this way here. If a staff member shows you bad attitude or anything like that then they are hated by a group of people. It happens on any server. I would just think that people like Sky would be beyond the whole attitude thing but apparently not. |

Note that I'm speaking in general and not about anyone specific, but it's still true. |

It can't be helped if people have responsiblities outside of this game and it seems that alot of people understand that. My question is why can't you? Should Maroku and all the other EM's just drop their responsibility outside of graal because you think they should live up to their responsibilities. They are doing their hardest to bring events and to host them while trying to live their own individual lives. I can understand your side of things. Yes they volunteered for these positions and with them comes responsiblity but on the flip side of things only so much can be done. Hosting more depends on playercount then anything and with school/university/college classes going on most people aren't able to get on until the evening or even at all. So if your on during the day and there's nothing being hosted then take a look at the server...how many trials are on compared to the paying members. I know I went off of at least 20 gold members on before I hosted any events. As Pojo would argue with me those months I didn't host there were barely anyone on. I wasn't going to host for 3 afk gold members and like 5 active trials. Just wasn't worth my time. I mean have you even hosted yet on GK? Do you know that EM's have rules to follow. That there's a certain amount of gold members they lookout for and if the number just isn't there then they probably won't do it. As for Maroku's attitude to non-friends. i am pretty sure that there are people he don't like and won't treat right but I have seen him with new people and other non-friends and he was fine with them. |
Are you blind or just stupid, raven? I clearly stated that I wasn't talking about this situation in particular, or even Graal Kingdoms. I also pointed out that volunteer work doesn't come with less responsibilities then it would otherwise, deal with it.

Can't you read. I agreed with you on this but went on to explain that people have lives they must live too. |

Why will GK never be Classic?
Because they still make SOME money with it - in opposite to zero money, when it would be classic. |

How about THIS WILL NEVER HAPPEN.
Is that clear enough. If they wanted it classic it would have been done ages ago. They are still making enough money to keep it gold. |

Going non-gold isn't going to magically save GK. But, on the otherhand, G2k1 went UC for a few years then came back non-gold for a little while... and while it was up it was pretty much never updated. |
