Already said that'll be the last thing I fixed.

Chompy 06-01-2008 02:58 AM

I'm just curious, tried any fancy cliff tiling? (not just diagonal and right, left,up and down etc..?)

Like, would the diagonal cliffs tiles at the back connect with the front diagonal cliff tiles?

Darklux 06-01-2008 01:39 PM

I am definitly seeing forward to these tiles!

Will you add additional tiles which will allow to build outside castles?

It's not a question of my German, it's a question of why you feel pressured to speak colloquialisms you don't know well enough. If you think comparing the two of us is some sort of benefit for yourself you may be poorly mistaken. ;)

I've even attached a more saturated version for all you color-addicts.

Crono 06-02-2008 04:49 PM

I love that saturated version Dusty.

Great work.

cbk1994 06-02-2008 04:50 PM

Very nice, a few tile errors in the level though.

Darklux 06-02-2008 05:02 PM

Its cool, but the saturated version looks so bright as if a near power plant exploded.

I'm not liking the door much, but I'm tired and I've gotta get up early.

Changed the door, I think this looks much better at the different sides.

Elk 06-03-2008 02:28 PM

pretty minish-capish @ door but cute =)

Kirble 06-03-2008 03:55 PM

I love it O.O
Get it completed. :)

Hawt, but I don't like the clay-ish color around the border (aka the top of the wall).

Besides that, awesome! :)

Haven't stocked the shelves yet.
Also attached a more nostalgic version.

Nice progress Dusty.
I used some of your tiles as textures to make your room in 3d.

Still just a wip as you can see. (Btw, I feel sort of a douch to post these in your thread, so iff you want me to start my own thread or stop posting, just tell.)

xAzerothx 06-04-2008 03:53 AM

The 3D looks beautiful.

Awesome, but the side doors look kinda funny.

Awesome! Only thing is the table, which looks like it's being held up by black air cushions ^^

Robin 06-04-2008 07:53 AM

the table and chairs need to be taller and you should probably get some lighting so it doesn't look like they are suspended on black cushions :P

But the 3d is beautiful. Stefan, I can haz for 3d plz?

Starting the intimidating task of overhauling the cathedral. This isn't a pics1 convert exactly, it just required a few extra tiles, all of which are merely replacing nearby useless tiles on the tileset.

edit: oh, and it's not done yet.

Pretty nice, the stairs don't fit (I'm sure they aren't finished, as you said), and the roof is kinda ... weird. It doesn't really match the rest of it.

Crono 06-04-2008 05:11 PM

I don't like that mix of white and green, Dusty. It looks disgusting. :(

TheFisherman 06-04-2008 09:56 PM

I like the colors but maybe it's the roof that makes it look ugly, not the tiles just the color of the roof.

Well here's a different alternative. I was bouncing back and forth between red and blue, but I figured red would be best, since it was closest to the original pics1.

I don't know what you mean, Crono. Heh. The greens are the standard 'shades of grey' in the palette, and I don't think they look that bad... what's so wrong with white on green?

The green on gray looks really moldy and visually unattractive, to me anyway.

Also, please don't do those classic/Zelda styled cliff layers, they're so damn ugly.

Some people like them. :P

Anyways, Dusty how about using the same green as those statues in front of the church? I don't really like the stair case :S

o_o

You actually like the one to the left?

DustyPorViva 06-05-2008 12:16 AM

Heh, it's literally a level from Zelda, hence the Zelda-ish cliffing :)

wat

DustyPorViva 06-05-2008 01:29 AM

I personally still don't like that style of cliffing, though since I'm redoing the tiles I could easily make it more appealing.

Darklux 06-05-2008 01:33 PM

Will you expand the tileset with a back for the church? =( It never had one, since it had none on zelda too.. pretty limits the usage of the church.
