All this has to do with me being inactive?

I think this thread was solved like 80 posts ago and has just turned into a fight. It should be closed.

Do the math. If it isn't against the rules already then it should be.

  • A significant amount of people in any given country don't like their government.
  • Most of 'em pay some sort of taxes to their government, therefore their government should care what they think.
  • 1+1=2

Does this mean the government's wrong, just because the people don't like it? People are ignorant; they don't know what's best for them.

Case in point: Someone yesterday asked me to give them a skill scroll on Graal Kingdoms. Further probing yielded that they wanted it from me because I was global staff, and therefore could make one. Now, even after I explained that it was against the rules, it'd be bad for me to do, and it'd be bad for him to accept something like that (let alone encourage it), he still insisted that I should do it "just this once" for him. I even explained how it'd teach him that if he asked enough administrators, someone'd be corrupt - he didn't care, he just said "plz" again. -_-

In short, the forum rules are not based on what a minority of the people want. Hell, they're not even based on what a majority of the people want. This is a dicatorship, not a democracy. An arguably benevolant dictatorship, but a dictatorship nonetheless. There's no rule about posting off-topic stuff; it is allowed (excluding other violations of the rules, of course). Same goes for arguments, so long as they don't get out of hand. This one didn't - it didn't result to a pathetic flame war, although some of you people are attempting to start one against the moderators.

First of all, you're trying to relate countries and governments here... and it's not at all working for you. First of all, all the global staff should care about the customer. Face it... Graal Online is not a government.... And since you have to pay for it, IT'S A BUSINESS.

Business Rule #1: The customer's always right.

But what am I lecturing you about business for??? You people can't even advertise... I got the link to find Graal Online through a 5years-since-last-updated Zelda Site? WTF?!?!?!?

New idea: The thread could be split into a "lyndzey?" thread, containing relevant posts, and a "Sexual Harrassment: Where is the line?" thread, containing relevant posts, which has gone even off-topic from that discussion to a humorous staff-bashing topic. :)

The joke about babies? I didn't even find that as sexual harassment which is why I don't get why this thread is still going on.

Some people might have been hurt by that IF it was said to them. It was said to me and I take no offense to it at all.

Staff bashing is not a crime. Being staff doesnt make you better than anyone else.

Which is why I said it, because I knew you wouldn't care. It's what I've been trying to explain to them since the beginning. But no, they have to drag it out into some kind of war, and try to make me look like some terrible monster that goes around sexually harassing women. I really, really, really, hate what is happening with the staff here now.

You guys seriously need to devote more time into trying to make this community enjoyable and friendly, instead of arguing whether or not you're petty bickering is against the rules. If my post was such a problem, Kaimetsu could have removed it, contacted me, or lyndzey, talked it out, and everything would have been fine. But he has to take the public route, so that he can rub in his intelligence all along the way.

I'd say the same about Tseng, but he just likes to agree with Kaimetsu on everything, and stand in his shadow.

I find this statement funny for many reasons, one of them being you seem to lack a grasp of the chronology (especially within this very thread).

Then if somebody questions the legality of such things, I should delete their posts in order to shut them up? I don't like the kind of administration that doesn't take input from its users.

The debate had already started on the board, and I didn't see any reason to restrict it to private media. The thread's purpose had already been fulfilled, there was no stigma to off-topic posting.

I'm not saying that. I'm saying, that the entire thread turned into a "let's bash koni and his joke" thread. I still feel I did nothing wrong, and now even Lyndzey said she was not offended. So why should I sit here and get accused of being some sexual predator?

If it was such a big ordeal, and you were questioning the legality of it, don't you think it shouldn't be discussed in the public? These kind of issues are supposed to be handled privately. If Tseng had a problem with my post, he could click the "report this post to moderator" link. He didn't need to sit here and try and make me look like a bad guy, and turn this into a huge arguement, and you surely didn't need to help him.

You preach that people should be able to speak their opinion, yet you've deleted my posts in the past because my opinion clashed against yours. You override all the rules that are set on the forums, by saying you are making "judgement" calls. Well your judgement is severely flawed, and you shouldn't rely on it. That is my opinion.

If you think it's okay to sit here and pick on a person, and make an arguement about it that spans many pages, yet it's not okay for me to post "..." because it's in the wrong bloody context, then your judgement is ridiculous.

Not really... we were pretty much the only people talking about it, and it only last a page or so.

Um, those two factors don't mean you're not some kind of sexual predator.

Indeed, but it wasn't really a matter for moderation. I don't think it was delete-worthy, I just think it's a tasteless joke.

Quote:

You make yourself look like a bad guy, man. We were only trying to point that out.

Quote:

Mmm, no, I don't think so. Unless your opinion is something like 'spam is okay'.

Quote:

I don't override anything. I don't say 'this is spam, but I won't delete it'. If I see spam, I deal with it. If I don't think it qualifies (and, sorry, but personal judgement is a huge part of defining spam), then I leave it alone.

You think my judgement is flawed. That's fine, you're entitled to it. I think you're unable to consider your own fallibility. That's my opinion.

Quote:

Many pages? I don't think so. Pick on a person? I didn't argue on the topic to make you feel bad, I did it to show you that you were making tasteless and sexually offensive jokes.

Could it not be said that you are now 'picking on' me? I thought you weren't going to argue anymore.

Quote:

You spammed. What more can I say? You're not allowed to spam.

Your observational skills are lacking, because I most certainly didn't say such a thing. Your arguments might have merit if they actually had some bases.

Splke 11-20-2003 08:07 AM

o_O Kay, cant read it all, too boring... Filled with big words and hypocritical statements from the both parties.. Koni made a funny... XD It was actually an OK joke.. better then afew i've heard...

IM GUESSING, he has an inside joke with some people, and decided to say that as another way of saying "<3" .. wait, he said that too... maybe it means like, "uber <3" or something... I dont know. But you guys are blowing this out of proportion... its not that big of a deal if Lyndzey didnt take offense to it..

You guys are just like "OMG THATS SEXUAL HARRASSMENT" and you keep bringing up past things that he may of done to other people... And you sit there saying your NOT trying to make him look like the bad man... You say you guys were only trying to "point that out"... WELL YOU DID IT SO GET OFF HIS CASE... I mean, damn... You guys need to lay off...

Maybe your just aimming for a higher post count, but what Koni says in the most-cases i've seen... He's been right, and somebodys always been there to criticize his opinion... Its nice if somebody is giving healthy criticizm(omg sp), but you two are being negative, and have been for the past 5 pages... So... just lay off. You pointed out his joke had very low humour quality, as well as potential to be considered sexual harrassment. OK Great, now you dont need to carry on this arguement... It's already been adressed his joke wasnt that great... so yeah.. x.x

Absolutely. However, it's still demeaning and crude, and indicative of some kind of unhealthy obsession.

I haven't even been posting for the last five pages.

And yeah, I guess it could be seen as negativity. But there's no positive way to tell somebody that they're acting in a reprehensible fashion.

Well... I'll just let this be said Lance. If I were trying to run a business, I wouldn't hire you because you have extremely poor judgement.

Hell... I doubt I'll feed Stefan more money for VIP. I paid for it so that I could have access the forums. Now I must change my mind with corrupt moderators like you...

The other reason I bought VIP is so that I could see Graal 3.0... but, you know?... that appeal loses its bang after you see it.

This reminds me sort of how GPs used to handle profanity in profile cases by taking into account that you didn't necessarily HAVE TO look in the profile, when the answer is clear as day that the profanity should be removed and the person spend time in jail or get banned.

Splke,

2 words...common sense
find some and use it please....

Meaning: The issue here was never whether you or others were offended, the issue was/is that some people might have been offended, and it should NEVER have been said. Things like that DO NOT belong on a children's game, no matter how you try to glorify it, it was wrong.

Also, you might want to go back and read the Graal rules that you agreed to...very enlighting
