I would do anything for 2k1 to return. And whats with all the hate on bomys? I was a bomy for the majority of the time 2k1 was around..only switched to human after the new bodies and health system ruined bomys completely. Auctions were so much fun...the release of new bomys to buy, new houses, ppl selling their houses, hats, etc. was just so entertaining. I started like 3 kingdoms which all failed hahaha. Being an orc was alot of fun though. Kingdom wars were just awesome. Everything about 2k1 was the most enjoyable game I have ever played and I would do anything to have it back. I'll pay for the PW if anyone has a copy of 2k1 laying around..

I loved my Bomy :[...but it was a custom made one so I might be biased ;D

Most of the stuff I have for old graal though is website related stuff...guildcp and the like. I *MIGHT* still have the old 2k1 files but I don't quite remember how the client would save them...though I seem to recall downloading all the 2k1 files as a backup when I was GM.

But I have no idea where they would be after all these years if I did. :[

I'm the same way, I have them somewhere but I don't know where. I have the levels and all the NPC-Server scripts.

There would need to a npc of Googi though near all mining points.

And of course npcs of the troupe to come and steal the rocks.

It really is amazing how well 2001 worked. The perfect mix of players, staff and technology made literally my favorite game. Add in a bit of nostalgia from 9 years of not playing it and it seems even better.

I'm not entirely sure what it was about the server, maybe that the economy was just so perfect. I don't believe we'll ever see a server like it again.

It was the community that made it so great really. Such a mix of people.

The economy was far from perfect...though the duping did lead to some really awesome tools being developed that I got to play around with. ;D

Yeah me becoming a GM again pretty much requires nobody remembering g2k1

but **** that I am not investing that much effort into the people who play/run most of graal these days

What was Graal2001 like? I don't remeber it at all, either didn't play, or never tryed it.

It was a game that was so good, so addictive that once exposed to it a single time you would thereafter do ANYTHING to get to a computer terminal as fast as possible so you could press D repeatedly for 10 minutes just to get 2 gralats.

Repeat until said 2 gralats becomes 10k.

They made the currency feel like it had real serious physical value. Even the NPC for gralats was scripted to make them act as tangible droppable static inventory objects rather than just a number counter.

never liked it but to each their own.now Babylon was where it was at ;P

I still love Classic and Graal 2001, but I was also a fan of Babylon. I still have it backed up somewhere.
