Also, going to bounds outside of the forums, is it legal for a global staff member to come on your server and disconnect you for something they thought was innapproaite in your server options?

Now, I'm not talking about something that effects the players, I'm talking about chat in the server options. AKA:

Hm, I really wish mods would be consistant.

Do mods have any rules? Seriously.

Kaimetsu was consitant in that he mostly let threads stay open until they served their entire purpose or got completely out of control. Even moonie is consistant in that she closes a thread if she can even get a wiff of a possible arguement. However, if a mod is going to close a thread, shouldn't it just be like: "Hey, this thread is over." *CLOSED*

That is what usually happens. However in a recent thread I made, after Moonie closed it, a seperate mod posted in the closed thread. I remember a long time ago when Unix got into an arguement, even he refused to give his final point before he closed the thread because it really isn't fair. Mods shouldn't get to 'have the last word' other than that word being the closing of the thread. =/

ALRIGHT! Jeeze can you please please please quit following him around in threads and picking on them. It sucks when you read different threads and it has the same 2 people in them argueing. Come on man someone step up and stop argueing.

It should be more like "This thread is closed for breaking rule X" instead of "No" , "Gah, stop arguing" or "I disagree, closed".

True. They should clearly display the rule. In fact, it would be nice if they put like a quote of the rule that was broken. This could be an example post:

This thread is closed due to a clear violation of the forum rules.

Rule(s) Broken:

Yeah, no worries. I stopped both arguements.

I explained to you that the thread was not closed when he was typing his post, he was typing his at the same time that I was typing mine, and closing the thread, it just so happened that his post showed up after mine.

That's fine. But what about the whole posting the rule that was broken thing? If you only close threads when a rule is broken, then it shouldn't be a problem.
