The graphics are just LOLAMAZINGLOL. :/ They obviously need direction from Galdor, or Alarid and Zen from the GGT. I don't like the way things look right now, but meh.

It takes me ~an hour to download 5 mb.

I am certainly not waiting that long. I'm not even willing to download patches on games past 2 mb.

You got 56k? If I'm not too wrong, 56k should be able to download ~15MB an hour..

I have told stefan more than once that I would try to help with the graphics if he wanted me to. I believe the first time I mentioned it he said it wasnt nessisary, lol. Because yea, from the screenshots alot of the wallpaper images being used on those simple polygons dont look very good (especially the castle and some inside walls).

I think better gfx work and more complex polygons would make the whole world look alot better.

Oh hell no, there's no way my computer is going to be able to handle that. That's the end of Graal, for me. :frown:

Nappa: You should talk to AOL about it... you should get 4-5kB when you're downloading on 56k... It might be your modem that is old, or some windows option, but I recommend to talk to AOL about it.

Not everyone is going to switch to Graal 3D. I for one prefer Graal to remain 2D, as that's what makes it unique from other games, to me.

It seems to defy the hardware, doesn't it? Apparently 56k modems are capable of higher than 56Kbps, as I've seen this 12KBps download on my uncle's computer. He has a 56k v90 modem. It is NOT ISDN.


Haha, yeah, Road Runner is pretty nice, except for the POS upload. :/ You have to remember that not everyone lives in the US though. Also, to be exact, Road Runner advertises 3072Kbps, however, I usually get around 3000Kbps exactly. Unless they don't consider a KB or MB to be a multiple of 1024, but 1000 instead.

Ya know, I might bundle up some CDs and send them to needy 56ker Graalians (I don't know how legal this is though). I wouldn't mind so much.

Providing the updates are regular and not grossly huge, it would probably be nice for some 56k users to have the core files on a disk.
