Loriel got provoked, his job was inturupted. He has every right to do something about it. Regardless of the provication you say? We he was provoked to the point where he felt it was neccacary to do somthing bout it. Though you might of not done what he did in his place, he acted within his limits. This being because the reset could be undone with the restore.

Like hell. He knows how to play with people for his own amusement or convenience but that's about it. His actions are completely unsuitable for a professional game.

It's not his fualt that the player does not know that you dont harras other players, let alone a member of the staff. If that player is too young or stupid to not realize that harrasing people in general is not permited, its the players fualt not Loriels.

Playing with people for ammusement or convenicne? Show me an exsample rather then making such a bold comment.

Maybe, but reseting an account and taunting the player is simply unacceptable behaviour. Especially so given that it clearly did not solve anything - the person continued to PM him, even more so than before. This is indicative of Loriel's super admin skills?

Stupidity is not a punishable offence. Had he been less childish, he could have merely explained the situation to the kid instead of taunting him and lashing out with a tool clearly not designed for that purpose.

On 2K1 he regularly messed with people, changing their names and suchlike. All fun and games, you might say, but it's simply not how admins should act. It may be fun for 1% of the players, but the rest view it as an annoying inconvenience.

I've always seen Loriel doing good working and working 99% of the time.. He made good decisions from the times I saw in on Graal2001 RC, too. Although, this was more recent, not when he was manager.

Birdbird_0 02-08-2003 10:54 PM

I'm just not going to argue anymore.

It's up to Stefan and Unixmad to decide.

My last comments are,

That player is just a goober who dosen't know when to stop

Loriel was not acting stupid Or Childish, you just don't see the validation for his acts, his ethics are not the same as yours.

Loriel never did that on Graal2001, and if that did happen it was me, I later stoped after the zal rifle masicure x_x.. But thats the past  I've learned greatly from that.

Player: Loriel help, this account/NPC/level is malfunctioning/bugged/laggy.

Loriel: Haha/Nah, Lazy/(ignore)

Stefan always sets his nickname to DND but does he go coocoo over it when people PM him?
If you are an admin or anyone with a staff tag on. EXPECT to be pmed and dont PMS

zell12 02-09-2003 12:55 AM

Loriel gave the punishment, Jin deserved it. Mabey not so harshly, but still. And Loriel isn't there to work on scripts, he is there to fix accounts. Thats all.

I mean PMs cause lag. And ALOT of lag. You cant even work if your buddy list is swarming in PMs.

If you're going to accuse someone of being stupid for clicking on PMs then people are going to start to mock you for answering PMs. So you might as well just ignore EVERYONE

Well forgive me for not getting lagged when I get a lot of pm's I don't answer. :-/

birdbird just did 4 posts in a row
then he did another 2 in a row?
isn't double posting kinda against the rules?

dubble posting is like posting the same thing twice, but each of my posts had lots of content, and replied to a differnt person each time.

Sorry that did happen.

Double posting is posting two posts in quick succession. The fact that your posts were directed at different people makes it less bad, but it's still discouraged.

If Stefan went
"IF YOU PM ME AGAIN I'LL RESTART YOU"

Would you keep going
"ohi"
"ohi"
"ohi"
"ohi"
"ohi"
"ohi"
"ohi"
"ohi"
"ohi"
"ohi"
"ohi"

etc?

I doubt it. Loriel should be treated JUST LIKE Stefan.

That's not the issue. Nobody denies that 'Jin' was being an idiot, but that idiocy does not warrant Loriel's actions.

Locke_boy 02-10-2003 01:57 AM

Read through to Loriel's posting of the history.

I have one thing to say: You got what you deserved (not only for pestering Loriel, but for all the other "lovely" things you've done throughout your Graalian life).

Law of Three, my friend. It can really suck sometimes. :\

DND stands for "Do not Disturb". Think for a moment. 'Nough said.
