Stefan they don't make Graal look professional when they're used everywhere.
Grass does NOT give off light.
Walls do not give off light.
These are some examples of stupid uses of lighting effects on 2k1.

I feel like jabbing a pen in my eye after seeing that totally red
lava screenshot.

the idea of the totally red lava level was to give you the feeling you were in a lava-like level...
Which I guess could have been done alot better had Gonmon used seteffect instead of light effects.

Who is the weakest link?

I think they look fine, just over used.

I urge all those using light effects to take into consideration
the fact many graalians cannot see light effects. (well me anyway) if you are using lights in a manner that effects gameplay. please provide an alternative to lights for the less fortunate people who cannot see these effects.

Yeah. The lights are good and I'm glad I have a graal-compatible video card :) . Also, I'm just wondering but how can you make lighting effects using showimg?? :confused: I know how with normal images.

Stefan needs to make it so us Voodoo ppl can see the light effects, add OpenGL support or something.

I'm not saying light effects themselves are bad.
What I'm saying is that they are used too much and in stupid places.

The only place where I don't like them is in the underground lake.

Underground lake is the worst,
It hurts my eyes looking at it after 15 minutes.

Yeah. I don't use them THAT much, and like that.

My lighting effects are cool :)

Don't worry or fret people about the tiles.... I might make some new tiles... just maybe... when i get home that is... and then of course there's the looooooooong thing of changing ALL the lights in the levels to //#CLIENT and showimg :( That's gonna take a while.
