I HONESTLY don't see what they stole. All I see is that they got inspiration from Era. THe Graphics look similar, but seem to be separately done. As I have said before, they may have gotten their inspiration from Era. For example, Michael Jordan was inspired by Julius Erving, Kareem Abudl-Jabar, etc. to become the greatest player ever. I looked through his biography book so yes I am correct.

Even if they're stealing, they sure as hell are doing a good job whipping Era's ass with their playercount for a UC Server. Imagine if it was a Classic server...

To only convince me they are stealing is to actually provide image comparisons. I've noticed the sounds are similar but I'm not sure if Era even made the sounds themselves.

Either way, that's a PWA issue and we should be commending Graal Ghetto for getting this far with popularity as a UC server.

You don't even notice the stolen Era armor graphic at the top right area on the GUI?

I logged on and walked around for about 10 minutes and found 25 stolen/editted graphics (not including hats and bodies), several stolen sound effects, and countless things that made me think "Oh hey! I wonder where they got that idea?"
The question is rhetorical, but incase you were wondering, the answer is Era.

Okay nvm LOL. I do see some stolen things, but not too many. Just seems like they just made their stuff similar to Era's in places where there is the possibility of edit.

Regardless it's a dev server and it is possible to change your image up before going hosted/Classic. In good time, hopefully.

It's not even really the stolen graphics that bother me...

-Era has "gangs", they have gangs. Kind of understandable.
However, Era has "Los Carteles", they have "Los Solidos" ...come on now, really?

-Era has a recycling center, they have a recycling center.

-Era has Bounty Hunters, they have Bounty Hunters.

The list goes on, but even their gmap is laid out similar to Era's with a "Southridge" area zoned for housing.

It is a blatant copy of Era, or hell, a "Ghetto" version of Era.

If you couldn't make it on Era, you're probably going to play Graal Ghetto instead.

anyone that is a newb on era will definatly move on GG to try and get best stuff before anyone else, if you look at the staff they all got katana doing 50dmg while others got guns doing 20 dmg, i hate to say that but i think some staffs there only do this for free weapons.

All this complaining and i doubt anyone took the initiative to report the stolen things via support center, huh? Would be a good idea. >.>

Yep, full of Era rejects. People are flocking there because of the hilariously unbalanced weapons. You should get out their "bow" which is an edit of Zodiac's :)

these are some of the npcs I saw that were either stolen, recolored, or heavily influenced from Era.

I haven't explored much so I probably don't have majority of the images downloaded. I wouldn't doubt that there are a lot more images that I'm missing. this also doesn't include tiles either, just npcs that I found in the "gg" folder.

Don't forget about the Manager who has been trading Jobs and Items on Graal Ghetto for other server items, he's kind of reset and banned on Zodiac now for such activity.

The amount of stolen content is ridiculous, I'm surprised PWAs haven't shut them down, especially as many times i've seen a PWA on their. =\

Why do you think I've been on there so much? I've already either removed or had them replace a massively long list of images, gani's and sounds. Stefan would like to see them go hosted since players seem to enjoy the server but I feel this issue needs to be dealt with first.

Its not the PWA's job to spend days searching for content that doesn't belong there. Its the responsibility of the server staff and management to clean up their own mess. I have already informed them they need to listen to those people that notify them of things that need fixed or replaced and so far they have been getting things handled that they are shown. If they don't do so then they will be put on staff only until they do. At this point in time though, I felt it would be better for everyone involved that it remain in the public view so everyone had a chance to let them know what needs changed.

Be specific in your complaints though. Frankie for example at least showed which images were Era's. For those of you without that ability if you specified what an item was and what level you found it in, it will make it far easier for them to track down. You will have to expect some recolors though. Lets be realistic here, if every recolored image on Graal was deleted, we would have every server looking exactly the same. Almost everything on Graal is a recolor or remake of something else and I doubt anyone could even track it to its origins any longer.

No, I am not joking but I'm not laying blame on Stefan either. He is only going by the fact that there are a lot of players on the server so wonders why its not on hosted status. I don't believe he's even been on player to see that if you logged on Era then logged on GG that you probably wouldn't notice you were on different servers.

I'm doing my best to appease both players and Stefan so just give me a break if you don't mind.

I thought there were rules for a server to get on the Hosted tab and one of them was

* Servers should not steal content or ideas from other servers.

Most if not all of Graal Ghetto's ideas can be viewed as a rip off from Era's. Even their GMAP was designed in a way that is EXACTLY like Era's.

Come on guys, she didn't say it would be getting on hosted, simply that Stefan would like to see it on hosted. Really, it's not that hard to imagine Stefan seeing a server with a high playercount and thinking, "hey, why isn't that hosted yet?" without ever checking it out. Lighten up some :) I do agree though that Stefan does this stuff way too blindly.

Now, if the rules start getting bent for them, then really you have all rights to complain, but that doesn't seem to be the case, currently.

Just goes to show how clueless Stefan has become of his own game. Don't know why I'm acting surprised though, it's really nothing new. My post wasn't meant to direct anything negative towards you.

Us, developers... working really hard to bring Graal true quality servers, don't want to waste our time looking for servers like these for stolen content.

GUI control graphics are Era's, armor icon, money icon and clock icon are Era's as well. Just pointing out.

If the server was shutdown its playercount would just go back to Era.

Yea, I wouldn't doubt it if they have an old backup of Era that they are just stealing from. It's kind of hard to prove without access to their scripts though.
