I made it a bit darker towards the bottom as well.

I find in any graphic where there's a lack of black it looks very flat... which is why I hold the opinion that graphics should have a full tonal range. >_<

Personally, I believe the one with corrected levels leaps off the page where yours sits there x_x

Basically all you have to do is darken + contrast is a tad bit to make it look like it has lush color. Anyways i love it, great job.

Hmm, I do see what you mean, although I think you're overdoing it a bit, and it looks like you're screwing up the colors a bit. (As if you used the "burn" tool in photoshop)

But I'll see what I can do!

I'm setting it so your darkest color (which should be black) is black, and your lightest is white, using "levels" in photoshop - everything else adjusts accordingly, automatically.
It looks a lot better than what you started with, but I can see an easy fix to this little refusal of yours :P... just add black "highlights" here and there. Also, you may want to take notice of the format I'm using - and do the same yourself.

This door has come quite a long way from it's original, great job you guys.
