She should have been removed because she shouldn't have had the position in the first place. Giving someone a high rank because of their gender is about as appropriate as giving someone a high rank because of their race.

Ranks are only titles the only thing that should define a rank is what rights it has for example a Commander in CP has the same rights as Governor so Commander didin't have any rights it would only be a title used for RP.
