I wanna start by saying I'm no "pro" when it comes to this but I think I know enough.

Ok, first off I heard something about lag and then someone else talking about hosting through Graal or something. No. It doesn't work that way. The mp3 files have to be uploaded somewhere, obviously not on Graal. All Graal does is playback the link you provide it.

I'm sure adding such a function is easy, but why the hell bother? Ok, it's neat to have your own cute little radio station where people can tune into the music you're playing, but seriously speaking how will this benefit Zone? How many people actually use the radio function on Zodiac?

When I played Era and radio stations were active, I think overall you had like 30-40 listeners at best out of 100 or so. Of course that died out quite quickly. If Stefan can implement a radio system with ease, that's fine. But if it takes a decent amount of work is it seriously worth it?

But, this could be a project.(Or a quickie, not a scripter, but I think this is an easy script, I am probably wrong and will be chewed out.) Also, I would agree with you, if it wasn't for the fact the majority players want it. And since that is the case, it should not just be tossed aside.

Furthermore there are legal questions to this if you ask me.

Explain more please, I think I know where you are going, but I still want to make sure. (I am thinking you are heading toward hosting in general.)
I can come to agreement with you here. :) If it isn't an easy, "1, 2, 3, done!" thing then I will completely understand.

Let's clear up some things.
1! It's been mentioned before: Graal will not lag at all. The joys of streaming, that MP3 will not touch a bit of Graal's bandwidth or even its servers. It will pass right to your computer as if you were playing it off of the site. Graal is simply the medium, a means of playing the song... no different than Winamp or WMP.
2! Illegal songs may be hosted, but that is not Graal's problem! That's the problem of whoever is hosting the illegal songs, which is usually the website's problem. Again, in this situation of streaming songs, Graal is simply no different that Winamp or WMP. The only legal problems may be the distribution of links to illegal downloads... but simply don't show the url's. I guess this could turn into a debate of downloading vs streaming, in the end though streaming is still downloading... but the file isn't actually being saved onto the computer. Either way, at the most they'll just send Graal a Cease and Desist e-mail.

What would REALLY be interesting, which is something that players used to do on a game I used to play, was actually host a real radio station. There is a site that lets you host a radio station, and it gives you a link to give to people that will stream it. You can talk on it, much like a DJ, and play any songs you want, and simply link the radio player on Graal to the multiple URL's of players stations. I'll have to find the link for that.

Well it seems that even though a link is approved, it still can't be posted! How grand, so I have to post it in the lounge(where, might I add, you're allowed to post links anyways!). So go there if you want it.

When I woke up while sleeping during class I started to listen to my music. My music is so retarded I really want to host it on Zone. I'd come on just to host music and get laughed at. Though adding the ability to host your own music should be a little project and nothing important.
