Oh yeah... if statements..
The programming definition never comes up upon my first thoughts lol.. Thank you for clearing that up though.. xD

Thank you as well for answering the question without trying to belittle also, I appreciate that. :]

Is this for real? Or is this guy just trolling all of you? I seriously can't tell.

1) Who the hell uses google to look for specific GS2 help
2) Who the hell doesn't know how to use google
3) You sir, are an ass who complains too much

Are you serious?:noob:

Also, considering the amount of hatred towards you at the moment, I recommend you just stop for now and let things cool down.

Emera 03-04-2012 01:42 AM

Rofl! But really, read up on how to use a search engine efficiently.

BlueMelon 03-04-2012 03:59 AM

Why was this bumped
switch is used in many programming languages... like wtf

You are correct sir! However, not many people learn many programming languages.

In Visual Basics I've never seen switch and case, and in C, which I've learned and forgotten, I have not come across it. I must admit however, GS2 is not C but has similar qualities. Not everyone who wants to learn to program is going to know right off the bat all of the, if this even is one, basics of GS2. ^.^

I 'bumped' this not for the post to have attention, but so that the name might be changed to be found faster. :]

Thank you, I suppose I could.. but it kind of gives me something to do when I'm bored.. I like to wonder how people think of their comments to simple questions, disregarding the question entirely.

Honestly, I can't say I care who hates me.. It just isn't in my to-do list to impress anyone here. (If that offends anyone, sorry. :x )

I am however for teaching others, which isn't the case for people who have been playing the game for many years and are on tip and toe to shoot things down...

I appreciate your concern though, if I cared enough for this forum, I would totally do that lol..

It took me until 2011 to realize I could even post on the forum, and I've had my classic account since 2003. The forum isn't a necessity.. o.o;;

I give my opinion sometimes, and if I have anything new to post like the types0, I do so.. Tutorials I post, and I was going to convert the SL type0 to Inside type1 and Outside type1.. However, I'd need the permission to start that..

Gani tutorial (via textfile) Although, ADHD, I also said that last year..
I'll commit my self within the three months I have gold..

GANI TUTORIAL WILL BE THERE >:O!
Wow that was completely off topic, my bad..

Yeah thank you for the suggestion lol

Visual Basic has select().

Also I think the name is fine... "switch statement" gives it away.

Devil_Lord2 03-04-2012 10:15 PM

I don't have a clue what Visual Basic has.. I couldn't even tell you how to make an escape button. ^.^

Apparently fowlplay4 also does not like the name, the "s" seems to annoy him.
But only two of us seem to actually feel it should be changed, and my reason isn't seeming to get into anyones heads.
I only feel it should be changed for search engines.

Fair enough.
  • Spoils of the Switch Statement and Case Labels.
  • Spoils of the Switch Case Statement.

Thread really shouldn't of been renamed at all.

No, this thread shouldn't have been bumpted in the first place, it can already be found easy on google, graal bible and the forums search.

Stop obsessing about threads being bumped or not, there's absolutely nothing wrong with bumping a useful thread.

If it was I didn't notice anything new... But I could be wrong..
But I do know spoils is not a good word for it..
Unless switch and case labels are not a good things to use...
Did someone actually only add in "statements"?

Yep, the can't always have what you want is a positive rep.
Which is the only one that actually annoyed me, since it wasn't a good rep for a good reason, nor were the bad ones for a good reason..
The rep system is foolish. I cannot say I thank the person, even if people did actually leave their names.

I however have a hard time giving bad rep if I don't feel they did something absolutely bad..
Especially if it is towards my self, because I'd rather defend someone else.

Thank you, my intentions, however, was to ask if the name could be changed.
(A question that was still not answered, a yes or no question nonetheless.)

But with everyone going off topic, I feel it did bump for the wrong reasons.
=[

Edit -
Honestly, why is my icon/rep green now?!
Seriously, it is a pet peeve for me to see things abused, and I know lately I have not posted anything useful enough for a positive rep.
Going red is a lot easier than going green, so at least it would be nice to shoot for the darkest of reds... Unless they had a blue..
Please don't give me a positive rep if I did not post something deserving of it..

Hopefully later this year when I'm finished the tutorial for editing / creating ganis via textfile.
Or when I have the Shaded Legends trailer finished.. Possibly another music video..

fowlplay4 03-05-2012 06:38 PM

It did get renamed.

GS2 Graal Switch

Odd, I don't see it on here.. and doesn't help me searching it on google on what I'd normally do.. HOWEVER, adding case to "GS2 Graal Switch (Case)"
links me straight to the post that I made..

I think I know what to do now.. Everything is good on my end, I'll stop commenting. ;]
That makes 2-3 more search ways to find it.. if not more depending on what others look up.

My search > Graal GS2 Switch Case
Although I feel it edits it to be whatever is newer..

Just because you're inept at using Google is no excuse for the mods to rename every thread on the forums.

Skyld 03-06-2012 03:33 AM

I think it's fairly obvious that this thread has lost direction and is now off-topic; closed.
