He's been Governor for 2 days.. And you made this tread yesterday.
So your expecting Felix to do everything on his first day of Governor.. And again, with the idle.. I don't see him idle. He's doing maps, making trades. Talking to friends. Thats not idleing in my book.

Yann doesn't need defending. He's away for awhile moving to a new city, new life and new job, all discussed in advance. He brings the long-term knowledge and tradition of CP, and the training of a Commander to his role as Governor. Nuff said.

I know he's ingnored you. Like the over day, when you PMed him and asked him why you think he should be Governor. He doesn't know, he's not ready for it and neither was he expecting it. You backed him into the corner and asked him questions he doesn't know the answer to. You just PMed him out of the blue, why do that? why? You didn't even know he was getting Governor. None of us did. I know you and Paul are good friends and thats why you wanted him to Governor, Pauls my friend too. But I didn't think he was ready for it either. I didn't even think Felix was. Personaly. I voted for Sage.
And so Felix has been dumped into the deep end, he wasn't ready. But he's willing to give it a shot. Why can't you just give him a chance. Give him a few months to prove his worth as Governor.

Most of what you are saying is based on my past (A really really long time ago when i was young and stupid) I have grown up since then, And i know my responsibilities. I may or may not be the right man for the job but i don't know yet and neither do you i have only been Governor for 3 days so how can you judge me with no solid proof thats based on the present.

I defend Yann as a well respetced member of CP I may not know all that much about his past but i do know he is a great leader and it is an honor to work with him.

Alan I just dont understad you claimed the major winning point with Yan over Proto Sage and Paul was activity, then(appearntly you knew) he leaves instantly. That makes no sense, obviously even Fayt thinks Felix isnt ready. Sage too would have been nice however we should all know hes not too active, and one cant be an EM(if he still is one) and lead at the same time.

I cant stress this enough this isnt a flame war nor a hate thread, I simply see a failure to pick a correct leader.

Ricky do you not get it? Alan picked his choice primarily on care, and loyalty to the kingdom. Personally i would've even chosen Felix myself if it were based on that. And also you really can't flame Yann for not being active for irl issues, it's called a life and some peoples lives are more complicated than others. So quit crying and deal with the decision that's made.

And also Ricky you should be glad someone as dedicated as Felix got to be governor instead of whining about how you or someone else didnt get it and loseing the respect of some of your closer friends on this game.

I hear your words friend and may even understand them. alan is indeed an irreplacable leader but lets face it...Felix may have skipped a few ranks but he is ready for leadership. As for yannick he too is more than capable. Lets face this though... Is USDing if you are a kingdom leader bad? If you buy items with money...for the purpose of filling your event's chest then it really is not a big thing. you'll find that the majority of good leaders will buy items with cash for the sake of their kingdom.

Unfortunately i have quit therefore I was not able to take up the offer of leading the kingdom. Same goes for most cp. Why do we have this problem? Because the staff dont like working around here and we'd rather do something more fun with our gaming lives like playing piratekingonline for example. No advertisement intended. ;)

As for all this "End of the world" talk, lets face it, the only thing alive on this god forsaken server is a few kingdoms. Felix's promotion was well deserved. He has land skills and quite adequate and quite impressive ship battling skills. He has been with us since day 1 and personally i don't think the kingdom will go wrong with him. Although alan said yann is too busy to lead, maybe he is but is that not a good reason why there is 2 governors? Yannick is a strong leader and a powerful force not to be reakoned with. So when he is around it gives Cp that little more strength.

Felix has just settled in, give him a chance to try things out!

Personally, I wouldn't have chosen Felix and Yann, but I am sure that Alan had very good reasons-there is no way he would have chosen them unless he was positive they were the best candidates for Governer.

It is very sad to see Alan retire, however it is very nice that he will still be on GK once in a while, and it is also good that we have many people in the higher-ranks besides Felix and Yann who will be helping out with the kingdom.

As I said, these would not have been my first choices, but I have no idea how to run a kingdom, and therefore I would have no clue who would be the best for the position, and what skills are required. Alan was the Governer for three years, and if he can't decide who is the best prospective Governer, I don't think anyone can.

Just my opinion people.
