They are dying, they will not get better, and I would rather not talk about it if you don't mind, thanks.

Just to let you know, my Dad lost his battle with Lymphoma, and passed away today. He was not in any pain, and he died peacefully.
My mom is still fighting her lung cancer...

Sorry to hear, R.I.P...

I'd make a RIP pluffy but it would not be so appropriate. :frown:

Miya84 10-30-2007 09:38 AM

Oh Darlene, my deepest sympathy on your loss, I hope for you strength to get through this.

My Mum is fighting/dying of cancer also and well inner strength is the hardest part, trying to say positive in such a dark place.

take care of yourself and your Mom.

Vimerge 10-30-2007 04:11 PM

the best of luck.

Pimmeh 10-30-2007 04:51 PM

I think that I speak for all of us that we feel sorry for you and that we all will support you in this time of sadness and loss.
On my part, I hope that you can have a fitting funeral or cremation for your father and that he will be remembered by his loved ones for a long time.
I wish you and your mother exceedingly much luck and I hope that she (your mother) will be able to overcome this horrible disease.
Enough of my ranting.
Good luck

Unfortunately, unless there is some miracle, she will not recover. She is too sick for any treatment, so she will be made comfortable until the time comes.

Thank you guys for your well wishes. It means a lot.

Hope she goes into remission (I learned that word in school as a vocab word in a book I'm reading :D)

Darlene159 12-01-2007 05:26 AM

I probably wont be on much for a little while. My mom has gotten much worse today. They think the cancer has spread to her bones, and she is being heavily medicated, and is having serious trouble breathing. they said her body is starting to shut down, so I don't know how long she will hang on.
Please direct PM's to Sam for now of things that he can do.

coreys 12-01-2007 05:45 AM

I'm really sorry for you troubles, Darlene. You have my wishes.

ViperZakuto 12-01-2007 08:07 AM

this is terrible... life is cruel... but the pain and misery we go through can only make us stronger. learn from others mistakes(not saying they made any) and try to be healthy and get checked regularly.

My grandmother was my best friend in the world to me. She passed away when i was 12. She always thought she was healthy... She never was the type of person to go to the doctor. She waited too long and when she finally went it was too late. I kinda know your pain. be strong, life only goes one way. =) Just try and make the best of it.

Darlene159 12-02-2007 07:57 PM

My mom lost her battle with lung cancer yesterday (Dec. 1st).
Thank you all for your well wishes, kind words, and understanding.

pooper200000 12-02-2007 08:04 PM

Sorry Darlene! :(

Pimmeh 12-02-2007 10:25 PM

My heart-felt condoleances.
When my aunt died of cancer I didn't know what to do, but in the end the pain faded to the background, still there, but hidden. I think that that is the best possible way of dealing with loss, facing it, and remembering the person you lost.
I hope this will go in the same way for you as it did for me.

Crow 12-02-2007 10:53 PM

R.I.P. .

Horrified 12-02-2007 11:01 PM

I can't even say anything, because nothing eases the pain from such a loss...

R.I.P.
