I see nothing wrong with Graal selling a FastForward button. "Auto-mine for five hours - $1"

Why not just sell items? Same ethic, but cuts the BS. Look, if you're going to have USDing you're going to get this market.

I'm sure it's only for example sake - but just to be safe - $1 is way too cheap. Since most people become bored with GK after a year, or a year and a half, you would have to take this into consideration when determining effective costs for such opportunities.

Devil 01-02-2007 11:19 AM

I still would like to see it implemented, but not for Graal as it is, just Graal3D. I'm going to be playing that alot when it comes out :D

Only for G3D? I think it would be useful for GK and maybe Zone also..

No not GK, dont know about Zone cause I dont play it, but deffinitley not GK, the economy is already fked now as people were using that market stall bug >_< this would just ruin it even more, the current level of USDing on GK is still pretty high but atleast its just recycling the existing items and keeping them in the game, which is a good thing, new items maybe but they should be given to everyone not just evented off or made in a shop ='/

You could interpret that post differently. Like he gets an item and then someone sends him 30 bucks because it looks so pretty.

Why differentiate? "Seperate but equal is inheritly unequal" - if I'm some Fortune500 CEO, and I gotta go to work, I'd rather my game gave me the option of paying the price of a cappuchino to pretend I spent the day online instead. And not in the sense of "Lolz I downloaded a bot", in the sense of I would have made 50 plat mining, so here's 50 plat. I can use it to buy a better shovel.

That is an economic system I'm comfortable with, as opposed to You can buy the Silver Pickaxe for 5000 plat, or you can buy the Much Better Gold Pickaxe for $50!...that just leads to a skewed stratified economy of The Rich vs The Poor.

It's essentially the same, really - but one is much more slow. I would love to see some new markets opened up with USD but I really think GK needs a entire revamp before it even be considered.

GK Sucks and is dead. Once Graal3D comes out, no one will play there.

Nah, it's going to float even I'd say.

Devil 01-03-2007 12:21 AM

Based on what exactly?

You're suggesting G3D will have like 30 players on average? lol

Googi 01-03-2007 06:49 AM

Everybody will rush to Graal3D and play for a few weeks and realize that it sucks and then go back to 2K2. Then G3D will get retooled into something actually good which may replace 2K2.

That's if G3D every really happens though.

Tyhm 01-03-2007 07:16 AM

I still think G3D shoulda been a mode for all servers.
Classic with a 3d dungeon. That woulda been weird.

What you mean exactly? Turn every server in a 3D server? Hell no damnit! That would suck :/ In my opinion, there should be a client just for G3D, because 2D and 3D are 2 totally different things. You could use your "2D account" there of course.

Devil 01-03-2007 11:59 AM

I am dying to see what they think they're going to charge us for 3D.

I think he means every server could have a regular mode and a 3D mode on demand

Not Turn, but Add. I left a poor example - Classic wouldn't do well with 3D in my estimation - but what if in Kingdoms you could enter FPS mode? What if that was how you aim the crossbow, or if that was how you went through the haunted house - the dungeons were 3D, the overworld was still the overworld?

It could be cool if it was done smoothly. But alas.

A smart thing would be for Graal to put something on their website so you could buy things for Gold Servers.

i know im a little late for this, but thats a horrible idea. then graal will be based around usd, and the people on the poor side, like myself, will be left out. i can barely manage to pay for my gold/vip let alone gold weapons.

Well first off, let's start with the basics.

unixmad wanted to cut off those other options of upgrading, and make you pay by the month for your CLASSIC account. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong).

If someone introduced them a new way of making money, this would save Average Joe 13 year old who can't get a job yet, or who has a poor family.

Take a look around at alot of games which have USDing going on.

i can come up with 50$ for a year account, because around the time i have money is when my account needs upgrading (christmas). because of my low paying job i cant come up with decent amounts of money every month, esspeically with bills and such.

and the main reason i started graal is because its cheap compared to

It can't stay the same way forever for people who have low paying jobs.

A business will never last that way.

Tyhm 01-04-2007 09:15 AM

*shrugs* If Graal persists in cutting out the Lower Classes, I'll be increasingly enticed by offers of other games that are Free and encourage me to Build The World.

On the other hand, if they want to give rich people a shortcut, *shrugs*. Better they buy their plat from Graal than some scammer.

Devil 01-04-2007 09:16 AM

You should be thankful Graal only charges yearly, and not monthly. So I don't see why people whinge.

I see no future for the game if it wont be prohibited more strictly.

Imagine: a player plays two years, and in the end he makes as much money, as a family in developing countrys has to spend in two years. I know that this happened, ppl made more than 1000$.

Methods? Trades ONLY on tables, but they are free, and both tablesides should have a nearly equal value.

Yeah, if you want to get rid of USDing, then make it compulsary to do this. But you could still probably get around it.

It's been fixed now, but basically people were spawning millions of plat for free, this plat is now sitting in peoples houses and stuff. Due to millions of additional plat coming into the game people are trying to pay 1000 plat for 1 diamond and are trying to buy expensive items with plat, I got someone yesterday saying "450,000 plat for a RoW" thats like 900 diamonds worth for a RoW, the market is now completely fked >_<
