You know what, I wouldn't care if it didn't have all those features. Aslong as it made levels, I could then import it to the original and code it up with G-Scripts if I really wanted to. I think it's the overall outcome that matters.

The current one makes levels.
And I believe it's possible to do level layers with some script.
But this would make it hell of a lot better

I have plans to implement a simple gs2 parser into my editor for setimgpart, setshape, and a few other functions.

The client is, and Graal is featured on the Apple website.
What PC site advertises graal?
http://www.apple.com/downloads/macos...egy/graal.html
:D

Devil 12-15-2006 04:26 AM

I was ****ing joking you *****.

PC Websites are stupid enough to advertise Graal, why bother? It won't make them money.
Mac use it because no one else will advertise with them. Notice every game that they have advertised there is complete trash.

GTFO.

excaliber7388 12-15-2006 04:40 AM

Yes, the hundreds of games on there are trash, including Cold War, WoW, Age of Empires, Call of Duty 2, Doom 3, Quake 4, Graal, Unreal Tournament, etc.
Wow, talk about ignorance.
Just leave the PC vs Mac fight out of this, and go back to discussing the level editor.

Devil 12-15-2006 05:00 AM

I was talking about the RPG section.

Does anyone know why my predefined objects vanished? I mean the original set of them, they disappeared and I don't feel like going through them all and naming them

I would really like if we could like get a bunch of scripters together, hop on the #gscript server, and make an 'official' scripted level editor for all servers to use.
People seem to want to make their own of all these things so we have all different versions, can't we just make one standard one before personalizing it?

I believe this should also be done for a Scripted RC and the general Baddie that Thym was working on.

Tyhm 12-20-2006 05:47 AM

I'm all for that. I'd love for there to be a strong enough global scripting team again that they could do all that, plus make a default playerworld so people aren't stuck with "Use default movement/arrows/explosions/damage/hitdetection/baddies - none of which work right in gmaps/with GS2/online - or script your own from scratch!". I've seen too many (hu)man-hours wasted on each server re-doing what every other server's done before, without actually getting to the fun part of Levels and Quests and Items and Making Their Server Unique.

Besides, I'd like to see some side-scroller servers someday, so a default one of those would be wonderful. It'd certainly hone in on any commands the engine still desperately needs (*coughPARALAXcough*)
