 :noob:

You're right, it should (obviously not that though). The forums could really use some new members, most of the people who play the game don't even know they can post here.

Devil 12-13-2006 01:28 PM

That's right, and this comes back to a lack of communication from directors. It's hurting Graal.

I'd say it were more prioritising then a lack of communication. Why fix something if it isn't broken? It clearly is to the posters, but it's not as bad off as some other aspects of Graal and we're still here to post.

Devil 12-13-2006 01:50 PM

The way I see it, none of the current staff have an easy time talking to Stefan and getting things underway, let alone unixmad.

Darlene finds it hard to talk to unixmad because of a lack of commucation to find out if she could re-instate the members list = players get angry.

The Members List has been disabled since the forums began I believe, what difference would a few more weeks make? >_<

I don't think it will be enabled anyway.

Devil 12-13-2006 01:56 PM

I don't disagree ;)

Ah, well that does generally lead to overwhelming wealth...

Devil 12-14-2006 03:31 AM

It's still money in the pocket.

Yeah, the bigger toughie for me when I was younger was being able to use a credit card or whatever to actually buy an account. Scrounging up 30 bucks isn't too hard. Getting your parents to use paypal for you - significantly tougher.

Mykel 12-18-2006 04:56 PM

*bump*

Maybe Stefan or Unix will read this?

Or Moonie, you are an admin. We have raised valid points here. I'm sure you can easily get into contact with one of the two and see if it can be re-enabled, and if it can't could you provide us with some sort of reasoning? Thanks for any help.

Devil 12-19-2006 12:48 AM

Yeah it would be good if Darlene could just point the thread out.

It would have to be pointed out to Unixmad, and I haven't seen him. It is the Holidays you know. :\

Was there a reason to do an angry face?

WOW. I WOULD NEVER HAVE GUESSED.

Why repeat what I just said? I asked if you'd be able to point it out to him, and I don't remember saying THIS SECOND YOU KNOW, RIGHT ON HIS HOLIDAYS.

It is a disappointed face, not an angry face.

Ah, I see your point. Perhaps that new smiley should be fixed, because it certainly looks angry, but it's the :-/ smiley.

Devil 12-19-2006 04:44 AM

Disappointed would be a sad face. Your one comes off as angry.

I'm not making a big deal, so it's alright for one player to say it, but not me?

If you don't like your job, don't do it.

You could say the same for the suggestion I made, it depends on how fast you are at doing things really doesn't it :)

Actually, I should have quoted Mykel instead of you, because he bumped the thread.

Bumping isn't against the rules, as long as it isn't spammed. I'm going to continue bumping this. I'm not saying you don't have valid reasons for not having contact with Unix lately, but when you finally do, I just want to make sure you don't forget. :)

Where did I say this? I didn't.
I merely said I should have quoted you, because you bumped the thread, and it seemed you were in a big hurry to get this done.

Darlene159 12-19-2006 03:20 PM

Ok, I talked to Unixmad, and he said (and I quote):

"No way i don't want it"
"I don't see any reason to allow listing members"

CidNight1142 12-19-2006 05:22 PM

Wooh. Open-minded as usual. Chalk up another win for the paying customers.

1. This option was never enabled. 2. You pay to play, not to use the forums. 3. If a customer ask for an addition he should be willing to pay for it, are you willing to pay for checking the forum members list?

That's why I knew this wouldn't work, it is obviously disabled for a reason.

What? This is hardly some amazing addition worth paying a fee for. People who aren't even registered on the forums would be able to use it, therefore I see no reason to pay for the "addition".

No you cannot use it without registration, only read it.
I've used this arguement, because of his: "Chalk up another win for the paying customers."-thingy. In other words: if you ask for an addition of a free thing, its quaint to talk about paying customers

Well to be frank, these forums aren't entirely free; you require at least Classic account, which would mean you would have been a paying customer at one point, most people who post here still are.

I don't know why the "Member List" option hasn't just been removed from the navigation bar :\ (for those of you who believe I could be even slightly angry by posting that, to clarify, I'm disappointed.)

That's not entirely true :x

Unixmad has the final say, but he should be willing to consider enabling some of these simple features - at least give a reason not to.

Yes, that could be years ago, a good profit for the company.
