I expected everyone to start flaming me instead of continueing to flame Stefan. Now Im happy enough to know that there quite a few people out there who are feeling pretty much the same way.

Awesome man, more things the most of us don't want or need! :asleep:
Drop Graal 3D, it will never be a success, quit sharpening up the appearance of the game client, and focus back on the roots of Graal please. I've upgraded about five accounts this week, you owe me.

Part of WoWs major sucess is that they had it right the first time, and are very careful not to introduce huge change to the game to make their current playerbase run away.

I've been around since day 1 as well, and the thing that ruined SWG was SoE's lack of any real quality. There were obvious balance issues and bugs that were never fixed. The game itself was boring (At least crafting was.) Oh, and SoE has lied to their players more then once. Jedi anyone?

So please do not compaire a Enterprise mistake such as SWG, with a small businesses ability to pay for qualified staff. I am sure if they had the investors that they could make a very sucessful product.
I don't care if it's one coder or one thousand coders, if it's a horrible game it shouldn't exist in that state.

Sigh.

I think Graal 3d will be a success, especialy if they allow for the same easy to use developement tools. It's really going to expand Graal's market, more people would be interested in a 3d game than a 2d.
I can't wait ^^

Where do you get this stuff? A 3-d online world? Imagine many of the 2d servers will want to make 3d versions of their servers, so you'll have them, in 3d as well as 2d. Whats the big deal?
Plus, 3-d looks a lot more attractive for nwe users

Galdor 05-12-2006 10:59 PM

zone 3d would be cool or era

Codein 05-13-2006 12:14 AM

Zone 3D. Wow. Now that'd rock. It'd be like Unreal Tournament a bit.

Please be a little bit more optimistic and patient. Each game can get boring after some time, and if you never play Graal yourself you might not notice a lot of updates. But there are also many players having fun with the game, so please also respect those. The player count is raising again, I don't think that that is a sign of 'community dieing'. Also the updates for Graal3D and Graal2D are looking promising. The new Graal3D is looking better and development is much easier, there are also many things that are compatible between 2D and 3D. Sorry that we want to make it more a surprise instead of announcing it months/years before actually releasing it...

i woudl even help with the textures of the 3D servers...

I totally realized this too. It's wierd, but I was on graalonline.com to notice 900 players on.. i was like " Is graal growing..."

But, you got to remember the trials which is about a 100.

So yeah, a lot of old kids came back cause of Era though.

The thing is that it has been years before any change has actually been made. I really like Graal, but you're making (well, attempting to make in a very slow manner) changes that's making the game be everything Graal wasn't. :frown:

Minor updates to playerworlds are promicing, but the two worlds that were widely considered the best, with an active community where you actually knew everybody, are pretty much dead.

Also, playercount != community.

I want Graal to succeed, but I'm just being honest here, I doubt there's much hope left for it.

A double post asking about graalshop?
Well....whatever XD
Graal shop is the program used to create Gani's, graal animations. You can probably find more by searching the graal bible, or these forums :D

What do you use to determine the playercount raising? Personally I see a bunch of classic servers in which half have no players and the others have around 50-100.

BTW, Those of us like me who have played graal for awile noticed a change in which made us bored, We didnt just get bored after awile. And if your going to have a game in which you just allow players to get bored after awile...well then your just a idiot. The game world is changing this year, I hope you know you better do somthing soon or that playercount is surely going to drop.

Feel free to go and play Unreal Tournament then. Graal has done enough of a (failed) job trying to imitate other games. Let's let it stick to wanting to be Zelda, and quit transforming it. Sure, maybe 1 "gun playerworld" per every 20 classic worlds is fine, but for some reason, I see Graal transforming into a game that is very, very... (insert negative word).
