You can always just continue making it and then trying to send it in... Maybe make it look a bit more different then a bombette but it's probably possible to get it online without the copyright infringement stuff if you edit it enough.

You could make it roll into a ball or something when it's "in it's shell", otherwise it would look really weird skipping across water, with it's feet out the way that it is now.
