the point of this thread
is that its too easy to avoid fighting.
strafing should be removed or cost energy. -jkool/typhoon, since ive realized that its cheap, ive stopped strafing and running backwards. huwajux, i dont know about crawling being removed in wild cross.. it doesnt gaurentee victory (you still have to fight). and if people see you crawling, they attack you.. i just press the n key and names pop up. crawlers cant hide then! heh. but.. it does let you avoid conflict.. so maybe it should be taken out. its too easy to run in wild cross. with very very few obstacles, its a cinch to run away from fighting (even if you dont strafe). i think the free for all deathmatch should have more of a map like alpha or ilricia, where there are WALLS that pevent you from fleeing so easily. and nevermind about having no weapon lets you move fast to close in on your opponets.. cause that could just let you run away instead of towards. |

Mod wannabe maybe, but definately not a mod. I know you're not a wannabe either, Dark. For everyone's information, it is hard to follow what you say if you don't quote someone who posted a while back.

wind: Deathmatch is supposed to be an open arena. If you want a obstical course just go to alpha.
i know its suposed to be open. but this openness when combined with the mechanics of moving and shooting makes evasion very easy -- in fact you can run backwards and not get hit at all if you so choose, but your enemies have to face your bullets as they chase you. a open arena would be cool.. but it allows exploitation with the current game mechanics. |
