You actually gave the definition of the word 'detract'. If you try really hard, you may be able to extrapolate from there and figure out what a detractor is.

Within this context, Snakeandy is your detractor. You declared that you were more intelligent than him. How can I make this any simpler?

Once again, I say "less intelligent" so that I dont use any other blatant words/phrases. I was putting it in nice terms.

I used it generally. Sort of like saying how Kai is more intelligent then Gambet. It wasnt direct as in saying the people less intelligent then me, but the less intelligent bunch of players compared to others.

You should probably use the word 'unintelligent', then. But it doesn't make a difference; unless you rate yourself as having below average intelligence, you are still placing yourself above him.

I said I figured you'd be an English teacher. That doesn't mean that I only believe that students study English to become a teacher. It was only an assumption.
